This item has proven to be extremely easy to read and use. This instrument is made of quality materials and does everything it says it will do.

Its clear why this unit is significantly more expensive than the lower grade refractometers available. Clearer readings, a brighter prism, heavy weight, sturdy design and quality build. A tool for the professional in the brewhouse or in the field. Would have been 5 stars if the soft case was a hard case with foam insert. Still well worth the extra over a lower grade tool.

Worked well! Very accurate and is super easy to read. Like only needing a small sample to get a good reading.

Amazing quality difference between a $25 one and this one. Lab found this a more valuable refractometer and simple to use.

So far this has been great. I did some samples of sugar water today to compare them to my hydrometer and they all seemed to be very close. The overall build feels solid and it's very easy to read. I'm using this for brewing and it's really not an issue converting Brix to SG using one of the online converters.

I bought this particular refractometer because I thought it was made in the USA. I was mistaken as it is made in China. The rubber it is made with smells terrible. I'm going to return it and buy a Castrol brand refractometer on ebay for half the price which is made in Japan, since I can't find any US refractometers.

This has worked great. I purchased this because I own a Cornelius slushy machine. Noe longer have to just use slushy mix. Get the sugar content right and I am good to go.
