Updated after receiving replacement: This one works well. Lights work after connecting the connectors and the crank handle now raises the parasol. The fixed tilt is very useful. I have the parasol standing through the centre of a patio table without a base at the moment. I am going to buy a base because when tilted, if even a slight breeze blows, the parasol swings around and, as it is extremely heavy, I would hate for any diners to be walloped by it! In the meantime I have put a wedge between the table & pole to stop it moving. Being a little vertically challenged (ok... short!) I struggle a bit with lifting and locating the top section into the lower pole (& definitely wouldn't be able to pull the handy cover/bag down over it) when in situ. The lights are just for decoration really. They look nice but serve no practical purpose. Why would you have a sun shade up or open in the dark anyway? Pretty though. Original review: Very sturdy heavyweight parasol. Lights worked when plugged in (instructions are included). Liked that there is a switch for the solar lights on the pole. We couldn't test the tilt though because, unfortunately, the crank handle didn't raise the parasol up. We realised that (from zooming in on photos) there should be a chord or rope travelling up the inside of the tube from the crank and exiting the top and fixed to a chord that lifts the parasol. So disappointing. It was meant for this weekend. I am returning this and have reordered, so will update my review once I've checked the replacement works ok.

Really nice parasol and good quality and looks good on the patio. Customer service excellent as the first parasol was delivered as the wrong colour, but quickly resolved.

Nice parasol. Lights didn’t work initially, but speedy response from seller resolved issue. Lights are not as bright as expected from the pictures shown, but runs off one battery so not surprising once you know that. The crank shaft to open the parasol is difficult to crank open and close, as it’s under the canvas and you have to manoeuvre yourself out of the way of the opening/closing parasol to operate.

Been looking for a new parasol for a while, but so many to choose from for varying prices. Picked this one and I am very pleased with it. Seems good quality and easy for me to put up. Colour is also a great match for my garden furniture cushions. Seems sturdy, lights work after connecting the wire for the solar panel as per instructions. Great purchase, very happy.

Sturdy and well made. Love this parasol. I ordered this in July 2021 but it didn't put it out until a few weeks ago. The lights didn't work (I checked the connection and replaced the battery). I contacted Glam Haus, not expecting much as I've had it for nearly a year. They were amazing and arranged a replacement. Great service!

Great parasol at a bargain price. For those worrying about the solar lights, we took the advice of previous reviews and found that the panel comes with a film on it and with the internal plug disconnected. Once you take the film off and connect the plug it works just fine, so please don't be put off if yours doesn't turn on straight out of the box. It feels high quality, the crank is useful and makes it look more expensive that it is, and the material and lights are stylish and attractive. You will need a weight/stand for the parasol so do remember to factor that into your budget, however it is a standard pole so should fit fine with most weights. Overall we would certainly recommend, as it's great value for money.

It's really heavy to lift. Then I got the stand that suppose to go with the parasol. But it's not fitting right. It just does not go in to this stand fully. So can't get it to stand up right. Now the wind has blown it all down. Can't lift it up at all. It's just laying on floor just getting soacked deteriorating.

This was better than we expected for the price. Very strong and sturdy and exactly what we wanted. We did spend a few days waiting for the solar lights to charge, only to realise that the battery pack wasn't connected to the lights. Simple fix just plugging the connector in but it would have been helpful if this was mentioned in the instructions. The lights are lovely and bright, would recommend.
