Oh, WOW!!!
A little back story... We used to live in Western NC, in the Asheville area. Our home had its own private well, fed by a natural spring that came down the mountain. The water was sweet... delicious... had body and substance... and was always a pleasure to drink. We couldn't find any better. Couple years back, we moved from NC to Northwestern Ohio, where we found ourselves on Municipal water fed by Lake Erie. On a good day, the water tasted foul by comparison. Enter "Toxic Algae Blooms" on Lake Erie. A certain bottled water corporation (as well as other companies) was siphoning water at such an alarming rate, it lowered the water table, and the Toxic Algae Blooms became very problematic. So, not only did the water taste foul, it tasted like "pool water", trying to combat the algae. You could pour a glass, set it out overnight, and you would see particulate separation. Ew. Disgusting. Gross. SO..... ever since we've lived here, we purchased Filtered Water at the self-serve stations at our local supermarkets. The Filtered water... although it was clean, it was flat. Virtually flavorless. It was "dead water". It tasted like "air". Though it was safe to drink, it offered no real benefit outside of being a "liquid". It was the best we could get at an affordable price, while keeping up with sustainability in plastic reduction. We had a small army of 5 Gallon PBA free bottles, that are recyclable. SO.... it was time to bite the bullet, and purchase a Reverse Osmosis kit for the house. After reading pages and pages of reviews (which are all subjective, always consider the source), and watching YouTube reviews and comparisons... I decided on the Home Master TMAFC-ERP Artesian Full Contact Undersink Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System. It arrived in a neat, well packed box, bagged and tagged. After snipping all the zip-ties, the Flying Spaghetti Monster lay on the floor at my feet. I was a bit intimidated. Everyone and their mother says to "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST"... so I did. Let's see.... hmmm..... Three brackets.... four connections.... snap it in.... done. 30 minute installation, and I was taking my time. The longest part of the whole operation was performing the Fill/Drain/Purge procedure to get everything working correctly. Now, that first glass of water. To sum it up in one word: Bliss. It tasted EXTREMELY close to that natural spring-fed water we used to have. It has body... it has weight... it feels like you are actually drinking something besides "liquid air". The flavor has a bit of sweetness to it, with a bit of an aftertaste that is "mineral-esque". Very pleasant. Now, just because something is "new", doesn't necessarily mean it's "perfect". Sometimes things can go wrong during manufacturing, that can go un-noticed during QC. I had questions... I called their Customer Service to ask if something was a "characteristic", or a potential issue, since I don't have a reference or a baseline. I noted there was a small leak at one of the fittings of the "Shut-Off Valve" as well. INSTANTLY, they directed me in a shut-down procedure, remove this pipe, connect to that, pull this, stick that, twist this around... and VIOLA!!! The Shut-Off valve was removed, and operating perfectly without it. They said they will send me a new one. later THAT DAY, I receive an email about shipping notification. The new part arrived, with some extra goodies to say "sorry for the inconvenience", and instructions on installation. Back in business in less than 5 minutes. DONE!! The system is working FLAWLESSLY, producing some might fine water, and I am extremely happy I went with this choice... Outstanding product, outstanding Customer Service, outstanding Warranty... You can't go wrong with this setup. ALSO.... given the fact these modular filters are literally "Plug 'n' Play", installing this unit in tight, under-counter spaces makes filter changing that much easier, as opposed to the standard "screw-on" type, and the tools needed (like the spanner) to do the removal... Once the system is de-pressurized, disconnecting the hoses only gave me a dribble, not a spillage. Consider that as part of your decision making.

Easy install, great taste, great flow rate, overall great product!
I replaced an older RO with this system. I was surprised how easy the install was. I was a little nervous as I have changed the filters in my old system and it was always such a hassle. I already had a nice faucet for my old RO so I was able to use that one instead. I would look into a nicer faucet if you buy this RO system. Nothing functionally wrong with their faucet it just doesn't look nice. Similar fitting and hose size made this easy to install. Another easy point for me was I was able to use my old water line connection and drain connection from the previous system. For the water connection I just pulled the orange hose from the Home Master and attached my old one into the filter. For the drain line I just pulled my old drain hose and put the red hose from the permeate pump into the same type fitting. A couple of hints that helped my install. When looking for a place to mount the filters hold them in place to get an idea of how they will fit and make some marks with a pencil. The drawing says to leave 6 inches above and 6 inches below for space. Mine was a little tight. You can also move the other filter holders around so that you can get a better fit. The storage tanks was also bigger than my old one. I got lucky because it worked where I ended up putting it. I would place the tank in place first to make sure you have room. Then I would check the hose length where you want to put the filter system. My storage tank is 26 inches away from the filter system. For the permeate pump installed it on the floor of the cabinet next to the filter system. Make sure the arrow is pointing up. I thought when I snapped it into the holder I should see the label but I actually had to rotate it so the arrow was pointing up. I didn't do this at first and when I rotated it on its side after rereading the instructions you could hear the water flow increase. I also checked all hose connections before and after mounting everything. The filling and dumping for the first two runs takes some time. You can here the pump click and hiss a little bit. This is a good time to get a flash light and look around everywhere to check for leaks. I flushed my system 3 times just to confirm everything was good. Do yourself a favor and watch the install videos before it arrives. When you get it read the instructions before starting. Take your time. No need to rush. The install took me around 30 minutes since I had some work done from my previous system. The flushing took an hour or so each time. When you open the faucet for the first when the system is fully charged up it is like Niagra Falls compared to my old system. Filling a pot of water is super quick now. Before I would set the pot on the counter and walk away for a couple of minutes. Sink water checked out at 290 ppm on my Water Quality TDS tester. With the Home Master RO system I am at 40 ppm. Very Happy with my purchase. Good job Home Master!

Love it!
I bought this unit to replace a 15-year-old unit that I had repaired several times over the years. It had the canister type filters which were becoming a pain to change and seemed to always leak the first time I screwed them on. I never got good water pressure from the old system, even after replacing the storage tank. Plus, I figured RO technology has improved over the last 15 years, so I decided to spring for this new system. I was also drawn to the permeate pump, both because it decreases waste water and claims to improve water pressure. If you're plumbed for it and want to run RO to the refrigerator, spend another $15 for the refrigerator connection kit from Perfect Water Technologies (haven't seen them on Amazon). My old system was connected to the refrigerator, so I didn't get one, thinking I could re-use what was there, but this new system uses bigger tubing, so it took me several trips to the hardware store to get the fittings that would work. Other than that, my installation was pretty simple - just mount the new equipment to the cabinet wall and hook up all the connections. The installation instructions are well written. As stated previously, one of my main concerns was water pressure, or lack thereof. Man, do I have water pressure now! We have to be careful using the RO faucet lest we blast water all over the kitchen. No more standing at the refrigerator door forever waiting for the tiny trickle of water to fill a glass - just a few seconds and you're ready to quench your thirst. And after flushing the system, the water is clear and tastes great! My only complaint is that the permeate pump does make some noise when it runs (click, hiss, click, hiss), but it's fairly muffled with the cabinet door closed. And once the storage tank is full, it doesn't run very often with normal use. The trade off for great pressure, and not wasting as much water, is well worth it in my opinion.

Best all around RO model and customer care
We’ve owned this RO model for 2 years now and have been completely satisfied. I spent a ton of time researching water filters and many different brands. We used to hv a kinetics RO filtration system and that one always felt frustrating in their lack of available customer care or testing and really expensive. My parents also owned one of those and live out in the country where they are on a Well system and have to have a pretty complicated set up to get their water to taste right and to be clear etc. and we were both really done with that unit and its lack of support. We each did our research and concluded that this model from Perfect Water was the bees knees! I think the value of the system is incredible. It hit all the points we wanted such as excellent customer service and excellent filtration results with great taste and a great testimony for reliability and minimal maintenance. It was also important to me this time we had a re-mineralization kit of some sort as I was quite concerned about the acidity of RO filters. I love that this one covers all of that and we also got the Permeate pump which greatly increased the flow and the efficiency and we’ve been 100% pleased with that. We have a lot of company and a family of five and we have no trouble keeping up with all the water we could ever want. Everyone’s pleased with the taste so while I can’t say it’s superior when I compare it to our favorite vacation place that has excellent Sweetwater for whatever reason :-). But we use municipal water and the filtration results off of that are totally acceptable. My husband finds it easy to change out the filters and we also got the refrigeration kit and that has run flawlessly for two years. I feel like this company has refined every aspect of the water filtratiin system and given the most simple, best value, along with a combination of really high-quality that I can trust— I feel like this unit is the best all around RO water system out there and they’ve definitely earned my trust. There are other water systems out there that cost a whole lot more and have their own fancy take on what they think is the perfect water but I feel they’re chasing down rabbit holes that the general world population really doesn’t have to have to be healthy!!! Just good pure water with the right amount of minerals is sufficient and for that this model covers that need in a superior way without going overboard. We did get special testing done and tested the acidity and I was very pleased with how neutral everything came out I feel like it’s very healthy for our systems and our teeth. I would totally recommend this system for anyone really picky who wants low maintenance, ease of simple installation, very fast flow with the pump, excellent customer care ahead of the rest, and natural remineralization. Top notch.

This is a great RO System, especially for the money!
I don’t normally write reviews but I was compelled to write this one. We have had an RO system in the past and liked it, but it lost pressure and took a long time to fill things. When we moved into our most recent house (built in 1915- we love old homes) we knew about the lead water supply pipes coming into the house and decided that we should get another RO system. I researched the latest options and found Home Master to have what appeared to be the best fit, but was concerned about the price. I decided not to be too cheap and go with the artesian system with the pump. I am SO glad I pulled the trigger on it. Having had a competitive product in the past, when I got this unit installed and turned it on for the first time and tasted the water I KNEW this was the right way to go. My cup filled as fast as it would have had I been using a regular faucet and tasted wonderful. This product is by far the best system I have ever used. And that includes my father-in-law’s system (he ALWAYS buys the “best”). The other deciding factor for me was the customer service reviews this unit had. Even if people didn’t like the products it didn’t work out, if they contacted the manufacturer almost all had good things to say. Service is critically important to me. If I had had a problem with installation (I didn’t- the instructions were quite thorough, another VERY important decision factor) I knew I would be able to get great help just by calling. The entire product is great. I am pretty mechanically inclined, but the instructions were very descriptive and the troubleshooting guide was actually informative for once. Very surprising, if you can believe that. Troubleshooting guides usually suck. This one didn’t. Others here have some complaints about the clips and the mounting hardware, but these are par for the course with any manufacturer. That isn’t to say it can’t be improved, but they work quite well. And to be fair, replacing these filters will be far easier than my old system. What I did find out on these clips and water lines is that they are covered under warranty. So if I ever was to have a problem they would be replaced. I would suggest that if you are using an existing faucet for the RO system (we bought a new faucet for our kitchen sink that also had a second smaller faucet for the RO system) you budget a little extra money for a hardware store trip or two. The adapters that came with our faucet didn’t play well with the hardware from Home Master, but that wasn’t the fault of the RO system. The faucet hardware didn’t play nice with its own hoses either. But a trip to the hardware store fixed those issues pretty fast. A couple replacement/reducer adapters was all that was needed and i was off and running. If you end up going with another faucet as we did, I do suggest that you don’t be afraid to ask for help at those hardware stores, particularly about getting an education about fitting types. And be sure to bring the hardware that has to be connected. You will save a ton of time. Lastly, pay attention to the instructions and videos. They are very helpful and as well thought out as I’ve ever seen with hardware like this! I can’t thank Home Master enough for the effort they put into the details of their product. As I said before, it isn’t to say that there isn’t room for improvement (of say, the overall packaging), but compared to what I had previously the thoroughness of what they do have is astounding. I HEARTILY recommend their products as the best options available, especially for the money. THANK YOU!

Careful, this will greatly change your expectations of water!
My family first purchased and installed this unit in February 2016. My wife and I have only ever known city/tap water. I've lived in many different states, cities with some water tasting better than others. But I've always been fine drinking tap water and thought nothing of it except for one location where it was just beyond terrible. But whatever right? So late 2015, my crazy wife (so I thought) started going back and forth from the store refilling your everyday gallon containers at the distilled water location inside the store. Why she started doing that? Probably saw some article or youtube video explaining what's really in our drinking water and/or just how reliant and at the mercy we are of the city. Also, the CIty of Flint fiasco was going on around this time too and I started to think she wasn't so crazy. But I mostly drank my tap water while teasing her about the water jug lugging back and forth. Then on my trips to the store I found myself being asked to fill water containers. That didn't last long before I started looking around the net at reverse osmosis and the different systems available. Since I buy nearly everything on Amazon my search quickly led me to "Home Master" because of the great reviews. I pulled the trigger on this package (home master has several options) because of the permeate pump which it "reduces waste water, increases production, and allows your tank to fill fuller." Anyway, it's been 4 years and my wife AND I and the entire family are obsessed with this unit and the quality and taste of the water!! I take my water to work each day in fact and NEVER drink and can't stand tap water. Even several different bottle waters are no longer "good." I can't over emphasize how awesome and in love we are with this unit and the water it gives us. Installation? I took my time, for your average person, not difficult and very doable. Two years later we moved, I was reluctant to mess with uninstalling this and contemplated just buying a new one. Well, removal wasn't bad either, reinstalled at new home. Ended up buying one and installing for my mother who is obsessed as well. Then uninstalled and installed in her new home. So between all the installs, uninstalls and filter changing I feel like a true Home Master veteran! Like any company, I don't care how great the product is if the company/customer service is lacking, especially badly. No fear, I've dealt with customer service on a few occasions (you won't need them much) and they've been nothing but extremely helpful and patient, even when I asked a dumb question like why is my water white??? After filter change your water will have many many tiny air bubbles making the water appear white. When we first received and installed our unit, water would shoot out of the faucet to the point it would fly back out of the glass if you weren't careful. This was great because you weren't standing there for 10 minutes trying to fill the glass. After a year or two the water was much slower coming out and we contacted Home Master, they walked me through fixing this issue easy enough by adding pressure to the tank but they even sent me, free of charge, a replacement part that may be the cause. It wasn't. Just the tank pressure. No big deal. This has truly caused us to demand more from our water. Has made me a water snob. We drink a lot of water in my family and I don't leave home without our RO water not just for my day at work. The company is GREAT to deal with if you have any needs. Can communicate with them chatting on the website or by phone of course. Not dealing with someone overseas. There may be other good companies out there with a good product and service but you will not find BETTER service with a BETTER product than Home Master. It just won't happen. We've never looked back! Highly recommend and I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you Home Master, even if you have turned me into a water snob! I have become the guy at work that I would make fun of for bringing water to work, WATER!

I did a great job of filtering out impurities and made very good ...
I have had a Shaklee brand counter reverse osmosis purifier for over 20 years. I did a great job of filtering out impurities and made very good tasting water from our well water but it wasted a lot of water. We go through a lot of water and my septic couldn't handle it anymore and the filters were expensive to replace. So I did a lot of research before making my choice. I had a number of requirements that needed to be met. 1. It had be able to work with a lower pressure well 2. It needed have a low waste to water produced ratio 3. It needed to remove 99% or more of the impurities found in your typical farmland well 4. It needed to produce water that had a balanced pH level. 5. Filter changing needs to easy and at a reasonable cost The Home Master TMAFC-ERP Artesian Full Contact unit best matched my requirements. The unit is a bit on the pricey side considering it's not the most elegant of packaging. I will say that being very modular turned out for the better. It allowed me to keep everything I had under the counter in place. The long tubing gives you choices if you're strapped for space. I was a bit paranoid about the open tubing. I have it all secured and routed so it's out of the way. We'll see over time if it stays clean and in tact. I'm a real perfectionist when it comes to home projects so this turned into a half a day project after I decided to replace my hot and cold water shutoff valves under the counter before starting. I was prepared in case any of the quick hose connectors leaked. To my surprise I only had one connection with a small leak which was resolved by pushing the connection in. I really like how fast the water comes out of the faucet. It fills a glass in no time. I know people with the Culligan model and it's real slow coming out. You do hear the sound of water being sprayed in the drain pipe from the permeate pump. I'm not sure what can be done to silence it if it bothers you. I know when I hear it the system is working and the tank is refilling. I'd rather hear a little noise than waste a ton of water. After I had it setup and flushed through the first couple tanks of water I got a water test kit and compared it to my counter top model. It did a little better in all categories than the counter top model but was definitely an improvement in pH. I'm really happy about that. After drinking reverse osmosis water for so long I think it contributed to my acid reflux. After several weeks of drinking this water my gut feels better than it has in a couple years with out meds. The down side is the water has a different taste that I have to get used due to the re-mineralization. I think I can live with that. All in all I think I made the best choice. I only it gave it 4 stars because I'm not sure how well all the tubes and connections will hold over time with filter changes. If they do fail you can buy replacement tubing and connectors from the vendor web site. Time will tell.

Glad I purchased
Brand decision: I live in the suburbs and my well water is very hard. So to counter the hardness, I ended up getting a water softener. I’m kinda leery about drinking softener water due to the Sodium content. Buying bottled water was okay when my kids were younger but now they are starting to drink a lot more water. I was getting sick of buying water and then carrying it from the car to my kitchen. The plastic bottles were getting really annoying as well. I figured I would have to get an RO system eventually and was having a hard time deciding on a brand. There were cheaper brands out there but I didn’t know if it was worth saving a little money and cheap out on something that is as important to my kids health. Eventually I cringed (due to price) and purchased the Artesian water system with the permeate pump. I am glad i went with the brand. The product was packed very professionally. Upon viewing the items, the quality of the system was apparent. The faucet is made in the US and has two settings. Press down and hold for water or lift the lever up to keep the faucet open. The connectors and tubing appeared to be well made. I liked the fact that the filters were modular and easily replaced as a unit. The system looks kinda messy when you look at the product photos, but when you install the unit, everything fits into place very well. My water pressure in my home can vary greatly due to a well water radon mitigation system that has a built-in pump so erred on the side of caution and bought the model with the permeate pump. Installation: Very straightforward installation. The instructions included were very well written and easy to follow. Drilling the stainless steel sink in my kitchen was not an issue at all. After mounting the system on to my cabinet using the brackets provided, everything else was easy to connect. The drain saddle was very simple to install. The diverted valve for the cold water supply was very well made and looked to be high quality. Results: The water tastes great and doesn’t have that weird “filtered water” taste you can get from typical under sink water filters. I even bought a PPM meter to see what the drop in numbers would be. Before the RO system it was hovering just above 200 ppm and after the RO system, it is registering at 13 ppm. If I was in the market to purchase an RO system, you can’t go wrong with this brand.

Easy install, Great water.
Took about an hour* which is what the installation videos say. Watch them on the website...much easier than the printed instructions. Read the instructions but the videos are all you probably need. We followed the start up procedure and actually didn't see much black carbon during the flush despite what the videos say. Perhaps they've upgraded the filter. Ran the tank out twice as per instructions and let it fill a final time. water pressure once the tank is full is great. You can fill a large pot in just a minute or two. We decided on the permeate pump option (black cylinder front left) to reduce waste water. Our city water isn't horrible, but the water produced by this unit is great. The remineralizer adds -something- that is just right. Doesn't feel/taste "hollow" like distilled water. (It apparently helps extend the the life of bladder in the storage tank as well) Was a bit wary of spending this much but worth it. The only thing that remains to be seen is durability/life span. But so far...very happy. *Actually took more like 3 hours but that involved several trips to the hardware store because I have PEX feeds to my sink. The kit only comes with supply adapters for a traditional copper pipe/brass shut off valve. I had to cobble together something (the orange feed tube > adapter > inline shutoff > PEX T) Not a complaint, just an FYI.

Excelente Sistema

The water tastes awesome and the ice cubes
I bought this to remove harmful chemicals from our water - specifically fluoride. I cannot testify as to whether or not it has removed the actual harmful chemicals the region insists on poluting our water with (that would require a water test which I haven't done yet) but I can say that it has dramatically improved the taste of our water and anything we make with it. The water tastes awesome and the ice cubes, tea, coffee, lemonade .... everything tastes so much better. I have a water tester for the PPM of the water - that has gone down from 148 to 38. My husband installed it under the sink and all went well. It works fast and creates only one gallon of waste water for every gallon it produces. I called the actual company because I had questions (1-877-693-7873). I was assured it was 100% US made and the source of the cartrage to remineralize the water was from the US as well. And the company has been around for a while so hopefully I'll be able to get replacement cartriges from them when needed. The only thing (and this is small), when I was talking to the company guy to decide whether or not to get the water treatment system that removed germs (blue light), I was told that, since I'm using city water, it's probably not needed. But after we installed it, I remembered what happened in Walkerton with the failure of their water treatment plant. Maybe getting the system with the blue light would have been a good idea. The other thing I did was to compare the price of this system to buying bottled water - I'm talking the big heavy bottles you have to shlep from the water store and you have to buy a stand for it to sit on as well. For us, with our water usage we would break even with the cost in about a year. That made the decision to buy this system easier (and the thought of carrying or trying to get my kids to carry those heavy water bottles!). Anyway, at this point we are very happy with the water, the speed of its production, the pressure it comes out the tape, etc. I use it to wash my vegetables before cooking, I cook with it, and so far everything has been great. I would recommend this system.

I think I have a winner!
After thoroughly searching what's out there I decided to replace my 20 year old RO system which the membrane was no longer available with the Home Master TMAFC-ERP. All connections are push-in and lines are color coded which makes it a cinch to install. Once purging the unit with 3 tanks filled with water it was ready to drink from. To my surprise the water tastes even better than my old RO system due I believe to the mineral replacement feature. I live in the country where the water pressure is only 40 lbs. so with the permeate pump included helped to double the water pressure coming out of the faucet. That was real plus to speed up filling glasses, pots etc. and uses only 2 gallons of water to produce 1 gallon of filtered water. My old system used 4 gallons to produce 1 gallon of good water so it saves a lot of water also. The Home Master filter replacement sets are very reasonable to purchase compared to my old system and much easier to change. Another thing I learned from my last system is I installed mine in the basement to save room under the counter at the kitchen sink. It not only makes it easier to install but to do maintenance when time comes to change the filters standing at working height. No crawling or bending under sink counters for this old guy!
