Great Unisex Readers For Men And Women!
If you don't want to read about my eyeglasses life journey skip to the bottom of this review! :) I have been myopic (nearsighted) since childhood. This was discovered by my father when I was around 9 years old, when he took me to a fast food restaurant and asked me what I wanted, and I couldn't read the menu up on the wall. Until then, some of my classmates and I thought we were so clever to memorize the last line of the eye chart during the annual school eye exam so we wouldn't "fail" the test. Yes, T-O-Z-C-E-L-D-F is still burned into my brain. Fast forward to my early 40's...I wear contacts for my nearsightedness, but now I am struggling to read small print unless I take my contacts out. Which is not practical when you're trying to read, say, a nutrition label in a grocery store. So I start doing the old-people arm stretch, holding the can or jar with the obnoxiously small print further and further away until...I need longer arms! Crap, now I understood why my parents wore reading glasses. I always thought it sounded impossible to be both nearsighted and far sighted at the same time, but nope, it's a real thing. Basically blind as a bat. I suck it up, swallow my pride and buy my first pair of readers at a drugstore. Fast forward again to the present...I'm in my early 50's and there are readers of varying strengths scattered throughout my entire house, in every drawer, in every purse. I use different strengths for readers, depending on what I'm doing, when I'm either too lazy or can't take out my contacts at the moment or put on my fancy progressive lens glasses (makes me sound so "woke", lol!) I use +3.00-3.50 for detailed work like jewelry design and repair. A little less for drawing and sketching. But the ones I use the most are the +1.50, for me this seems to be the perfect strength for using my laptop or mobile phone, or reading. My husband, also 50, started "borrowing" my +1.50 readers to read and sometimes I couldn't find them, grrr. Finally I decided to get us a few more pairs, and I happened upon these on Amazon. I liked the style, the squared frames looked like they would be great for both of us, as they are not an ultra feminine style (not that my husband would care, lol!) I also liked the color assortment, spice of life and all. And the price was right! When I received them, I was not disappointed. They are a very nice quality, and seem to be sturdy and well made. The lenses are nice and clear, unlike a few pairs I bought on the popular auction site for a buck each but the lenses mysteriously get cloudy all by themselves and have to constantly be cleaned. These stay nice and clear, unless you accidentally touch them with oily fingers or get something on them of course. The tension is just right too, many glasses literally give me a headache because they squeeze my head too tight, or are constantly slipping so you wind up unconsciously pulling your ears back and then the muscles behind your ears grow fatigued (if you can do this too you know what I mean!) And they look great on both me and my husband. Great readers, great price. Plenty to go round!

If I would quit losing them I'd never need to buy another set.
Excellent readers for the money! This is the third set I've purchased over the past few years because I always lose them. The fit, quality and durability is great, especially for the price.

Good value vs. quality
Iโve bought these before - I really like them. I am very rough on my reading glasses so I buy inexpensive ones that are reasonable quality. These fit the bill.

Stylish. Great quality.
I keep readers sprinkled around the house like candy. You can never have enough pairs! These are good looking and well made. I'm pleased with the purchase and will buy them again when all of these disappear in the inevitable black hole with all of the rest I've owned over the years.

Don't expect them to last very long.
This the second time I purchased these glasses. The first package of six began to break after 6 months and there are only 3 left unbroken. The plastic seems to weaken after time. They are very inexpensive however.

Great buy! Stylish, effective, inexpensive - I'm going to buy another set
Just had cataract surgery on both eyes, and have had to wait a bit for my 'new' vision to stabilize before getting a new prescription - in my case, for near vision. That means weeks of needing 'readers' like these. I ordered these and have been using them for three weeks, and am very pleased. They work very well, no distorting flaws in the lenses, and they're elegant looking and fun - love the different colors! It's also nice that you can slide them down your nose a little and look over them - my distance vision is great, so magnifying glasses that don't offer this option would be in the way a lot of the time. They seem pretty sturdy to me, as well - I've paid a hundred times more for frames that aren't even twice as good. Note: I'm going to order another set, as my optometrist feels more magnification would serve me better; you might want to test what magnification you need before ordering.

MAGNIFICATION
The glasses do not advertise the magnification, so it is very hard to order the ones I need
