Great Product
Best product of its kind that I have ever used! This is the stuff the Big dealers use in the back where you can't see them!

Very helpful, extends tranny life
Just for the record, the individual products here are AT flush 95001 and Universal AT fluid Protectant 63010. You probably could have guessed that, but it should also be stated explicitly, right? I used this stuff years ago on an older car I had purchased; flushing and fluid change was one of the first things I did. Initially I noticed that a "buzzing" during slow movement at idle went away. Still not sure if that was the torque converter or what. During the following year I had to change the external (Saturn) filter a couple of times because of harsh shifts. I can only conclude that the filters got loaded up with junk that the flushing agent caused to come loose, thereby restricting fluid pressure. Transmission works beautiful ever since. I know that fluid has to be changed regularly and flushing done on occasion, so I keep buying this stuff. Regarding the specific use, I think that the instructions on the containers are very clear and don't need further elaboration. I will say that I go further in an attempt to replace close to 100% of the transmission fluid. This is not easy since most transmissions (as you probably know) don't allow you to drain the torque converter and thus that fluid stays in there when you drain the case. The "answer" is to drain-refill-drive and then repeat that process three times. This, depending on the volumes of your specific AT, will get you to around 90% new fluid. If you do it a fourth time, you will be around 95%, but now you are spending a lot on new fluid for little change in the concentration.

way to flush and fill the converter
Some will tell you that you cant change or get to the fluid in the torque converter but this is not true. Most transmissions have cooler lines that go from the trans to the radiator or a seperate cooler. Using a temporary hose, pull the line, that exits the trans and put it in a clear container after you have changed the filter and topped off the fluid. Usually this only has taken about half of the total so make sure you have sufficient ATF before you start this. Then start it up in park and watch the fluid going into the bucket, it should be very dark red, dirty. When it stops shut off the engine and fill the trans back up to full. Start it again and repeat until the fluid is clean red in color like the new fluid. Then fill to the full mark and you're done. The entire system has now been flushed.
