Since I prefer a finer grind sometimes, is there a way to make some of this pepper finer, for example with a coffee grinder?

Is the grind fine enough to use in a pepper shaker?

If it's to course for your shaker just make the holes bigger. use an icepick or awl. I like this pepper and that's what I did. Make the holes as big as you want.
