Suitable for 1st grader
My 7 years old 1st grader son's teacher told me that he is behind in reading. The teacher said that he cannot concentrate when reading together. I bought the book to help him with reading. We will read three pages at time and having him answering all the questions. The book begin with easier stories in the beginning and harder ones on the back. The reading level is suitable for 1st grader. My son is about in the middle. We finished the book in 4 weeks and now we are ready for book 2.

Really great tool for tutoring your kid at home.
Really good book for daily homework. It helped build my son's reading stamina and focus. I read through the story then he reads it back after, so this encourages him to memorize the words. Around the middle of the book, passages get longer and words get harder. We had to pause momentarily so he could build more reading skills before continuing on to challenging ones. This avoids frustration and builds him for success. It supplements the public school curriculum well.Overall, this is a good tool to have in a first grader's arsenal. We started the book the summer before he entered grade school and this has made his life at school easier.
