I contacted Rythm tech support, and they said the room was too dark for the photo sensor to work, even though I had a 60W 5000k LED light 25 feet across the room. We had it on a wall in the center of the home not facing a window, if I move it to a brighter sunroom facing the window it works fine. I ended up installing a URTOM PALA-01B Picture Light 3000k warm light at 70% at the bottom of the clock, and it looks nice and works great now.
