Much nicer than pump bottle
I had not used a backpack sprayer and this was recommended to me by a professional who has "tried them all." It loads from the top so it doesn't leak and you pressurize it with the left hand as you go along. Apparently, the harness clips will slide out if you hoist it like a backpack. I have not experienced it yet as I sat in front of it to put it on.

Piston head where attaches to hose cracks off
The attachment for the piston cracks off eventually. You must purchase the whole piston unit to repair that cost as mush as the sprayer. It's a weak point in the design. Try to find it and you'll learn that this isn't an original Echo product but rather a Shindaiwa part slapped onto the sprayer. It's not included in your lifetime warranty.....

Faster to spray then a pump style bottle
I am giving this a 3. It works well and I sprayed my weed must faster than my bottle spray, BUT. Quality is really so so. I wish they would have put a little more quality into this pump. I thought the backpack straps would snap during its 1st use.
