Incredible Quality and Sound for Under $200
For $189 this Fender CD-60S all-mahogany dreadnought is an absolute steal. It arrived in the factory box perfectly protected, and the finish was flawless without a single scratch or blemish anywhere. The setup from the factory was nearly perfect, only needing about a half turn on each tuner to bring it fully in tune. Intonation was spot on right out of the box. The tone is warm, rich, and full thanks to the all-mahogany body and dreadnought design. It has that deep, resonant low end that smaller concert-style guitars just can’t match. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are impressive, especially at this price. The frets are flawless with no sprouting or sharp edges anywhere, and the neck feels smooth and perfectly finished. This guitar plays like a $1000 instrument. Everything about it feels refined and well built, from the tuners to the fingerboard. It’s perfect for both beginners and experienced players who want a reliable acoustic without spending a fortune. At this price point, I honestly don’t know how Fender even makes a profit on it. I couldn’t build one myself for anywhere close to this cost. For anyone who’s taller or prefers a full-size dreadnought body, this guitar fits perfectly. At 6’2” it feels comfortable and natural in my hands. I’m thrilled with this purchase and over the moon with how good it sounds and plays. Fender really nailed it with this one.

The most stunning guitar!
So I will start by saying I am a complete beginner. My new years goal for 2023 was to finally learn to play guitar a bit. I do NOT aspire to be an amazing musician or anything. I’m 38 and a stay at home mom. I want to be able to play songs around the fire pit or sing some Christmas songs with my kids. Basic stuff. I first ordered a beginner guitar from Amazon that was super cheap. But. When I started playing it, that’s exactly how it felt. Super cheap. I felt like I was playing a toy. So that same week I decided I needed to spend a little more money and get something a bit more real. I looked and just completely fell in love with the look of this one. I loved the dark wood and the glossy look of this guitar. I was worried about it being too big for me to hold comfortably though. When it arrived, the look of it was just stunning. I mean. It is GORGEOUS! Everyone who sees this guitar gives me compliments. It IS big for me and at first I thought I might return it but couldn’t bare to part with it since it was so stunning. Over the past few months that I’ve had it, I’ve gotten used to the size. The size just feels normal now. I got this in the spring and haven’t devoted much time to trying to learn playing. I mostly watch YouTube videos and did a subscription to the Justin Guitar app for a few months. I can play C, A, G, E, D, a modified F, Em, Am, and Dm. And with my capo that means I can attempt to play many songs. I don’t really have much to compare this guitar to, except for the cheap guitar I bought first, but this guitar is perfect for me. It came tuned and has really for the most part stayed in tune. The sound sounds good to me. I share this video of me playing, but be aware that I’m still getting the hang of pressing the strings close enough to the frets/hard enough to have the notes ring out clear without buzzing. I’m still getting the hang of it. Overall, I think this was a great guitar for me as a complete beginner. I also think it would be perfect for experienced players. It was an AMAZING price! And the look of it is so stunning. The dark wood and glossy finish are jaw-dropping. I’m so pleased with this purchase! And I’m excited to learn to play better.

sounds great
Guitar was setup properly and the sound is great. Awesome price. Pick guard has some weird wrinkles in it by the saddle but the rest of the guitar is perfect.

It’s big, it’s beautiful.
Out of the box I’m thinking it would be perfect connected to a good acoustic amplifier using a decent pickup. It plays nice and easy, but for its size I would expect more sound, but it is quiet. It’s a Fender. I read that Fender sends them out with Fender strings. Maybe, I’m just used to the feel being a little more taut, but since it is a Fender and the strings are Fender I would assume you would put the stings that best accentuate the instrument’s sound. So different strings might not help. I’ve got a few ukulele’s that are too quiet, even for ukulele’s but sound amazing plugged in, so like I said some electronics and a decent amplifier might make it perfect, but the friends I hang out with on occasion don’t allow electronics and I usually end up surrounded by a banjo a mandolin, a Martin and a BlueRidge, and I’m pretty sure that even with my loudest, and brightest I’ve played whole songs on occasion in the wrong key totally unaware because no one could hear, not even me. So, a good practice guitar it is, but for jamming, maybe if I sit near the back of the room, at least I’ll be able to hear it. But it is beautiful and it’s mine…

Great guitar
It is a beautiful guitar. It tunes easy and has a very good sound. My daughter is taking lesson and having great results. I bought the fender case and it is about $147, but worth it if you want to keep it around for a long time.

Screams Fender Quality!!!
After playing guitar for 50+ years, and still owning a 1967 Fender guitar and many others, I grab this one first! It stays in tune 90% of the time with very minor smooth adjustment tuners. The mahogany finish and excellent bracing construction is second to none in this price ranges. My pleasant surprise was my first impression and it only got better with the more I played. The neck is so smooth, small and great low action out of the box was incredible! Full deep richness is abound. I felt like I had stumbled upon a rare gem. Bar chords are a breeze and easier than my 2 Martin guitars. Like playing an acoustic Stratocaster or Coronado II neck. The only other guitar that comes close at this price is a Yamaha acoustic dred. I would say take the challenge and go find one in Mahogany, if you can, give it a test drive!

A Nice Guitar for the Price
It is a nice looking unit, for sure, and I actually like the gloss finish all over, which some have had issue with. Mine had the action a little low, resulting in some quite prevalent fret buzz mostly about halfway up the neck, especially with the crap tens it came with. Barre-chording was not pleasant. At least I think they were tens—I dunno. They were not that great at all whatever they were. Though I considered sending the thing back, I instead upped the gauge to 12 (Martin cheapos) and put a slight shim under the saddle. I used a strip cut from a credit card. The neck was straight, so I did that before I tried easing up the truss rod. Anyway, it plays great all over now, and my son will be psyched for his birthday here in a few days. It is relatively easy to play, even with the higher action. Overall build quality is nice, but it does border on that overbuilt sound. I have an Aria parlor-esque guitar that was comparable in price but is much louder, despite being considerably smaller than this dreadnought size. Overall a good buy. The solid top will improve with age, and the tone even now is very pleasant and loud. A superb strummer and an awesome looker for the two bills.

Damaged product received from amazon
I have received a damaged guitar as shown in the pic , also inside of the guitar i can clearly see minor damages on the wood that could worsen over time. In time i did place replacement request and waiting for it. Highly disappointed purchasing online.

Ravie 🤩
Guitare emballée dans 3 cartons + un film mousse. Donc bien protégée. Je reprends la guitare après 10 ans d’arrêt. Je suis plutôt satisfaite de la sonorité et de la jouabilité.
