The integrate into the SmartLife app very well and have over all been fantastic. However this is a newer version of their Smart Outlets. They moved the blue light from the button to the top of the plug and rounded off some of the corners. I figured the internals would be the same so just purchase this 4-pack of the "new" plugs. I 100% could not get them to connect to the smart life app so I could get them on my WiFi. The process is EXACTLY the same as with their older style plugs. I just added my last old-style plug a couple of days prior (hence purchasing more) and I was able to add it to the app and WiFi just fine. I tried all 4 of the new ones and it timed out every time. There is also an "AP-Mode" available for getting the plug set up, however that failed as well. I reached out to Maxcio support but have not gotten a response, so I'm returning these plugs. I'm super bummed because their original plug I would have rated a 5-star 10 times over. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Smart Outlet for the Price *by P***G on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2020* I have purchased many different smart outlets/plugs and this is by far the best! This plug is compact and does not require a separate hub for connectivity. I downloaded the app, which easily walked me through the setup process (including pictures and brief videos for each step). It also automatically integrated them with Alexa once I set it up. I was also able to name each outlet, specify the room it is in, and setup groups to have them function together manually or on a schedule, if needed.I have purchased 8 of these so far and only had an issue with one outlet. However, I believe it was my fault. When I first got my initial pair, I plugged in the outlet and went the setup process, carefully reading and following each step. For the second outlet, I “knew” what I was doing and immediately hit the setup button upon plugging it in. Well, I ran into setup issues. I followed the instructions in the app to unplug the unit for at least 10 seconds and try again, which I did. However, this time (and subsequently, I waited a few seconds after plugging it in to “initialize” prior to pushing the setup button and did not have any issues going forward.Now I just need a motion sensing smart outlet to turn off the fan or devices when my kids leave the room and forget to turn things off. Also, temperature-sensing smart outlets for my attic and basement.;-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent outlets. No problem hooking them up to my network and setting up a schedule. Use the Smart Life app and it was super easy. Added them to my scene set for sunset group lighting. Works with IFTTT, Alexa and Google. Have it in a separate grouping to go off at bedtime through an applet in ifttt that I can tell Alexa or Google to do sooner if I want. Can do all kinds of scheduling and random circulating scheduling . Lots of options. There is a options menu across the bottom in the smartlife app. You can name your outlets as well. Love these outlets and planning to put more around my house. Replaced my WeMo with these. They are not temperamental as my WeMo have been such as when internet goes on and off or when there have been power outages this winter. Very frustrating to reset or have Alexa tell me it's not responding.
