Good Active 3D Sony Glasses - Good Price - Buy a few extra for a great 3D movie night
I needed 3D glasses for my Sony TV. These are the best, compatible ones available. The glasses I received came without the individual boxes but they were packed two together in a foam sheet, and inside, individually packed in a plastic bag. They appear to be brand new, with the little plastic insert to prevent the battery from being drained. The glasses were free of any signs of wear and tear, and there were no scratches on the lenses. I tested each pair, and they all worked with my TV without any problems. The price from this company was far better than anywhere else. They retail for about $50.00 / pair. This company shipped them out promptly, and they were packaged adequately for protection. As for the 3D glasses, the are an excellent match for my Sony TV. These are "active" 3D glasses, and that is why they require a battery, and they must be turned on and "paired" with the TV before they can be used. "Passive" glasses do not need batteries, and are useable as soon as you put them on. I have no means of comparison, but the 3D effect and clarity are very good. They are quite light weight, and so can be worn without being noticeable when you wear them over your regular glasses. The design is a bit odd, in that the frame that holds the actual glasses is not attached directly to the "temples". The temples attach to an extended "bridge", which is then attached near the nose piece, which carries the actual frame with the glasses. I hope that makes sense, but I don't know how else to explain it. The first picture shows you a top view of the glasses which may make it clearer. This is probably to allow the glasses to "float" in front of your regular eyeglasses. The temples tips are also straight, and don't have the curve to hook around the ear. This is probably to accommodate as many different people, with and with out eyeglasses as possible. The lens are a bit on the small size as compared to other 3D glasses, and if you wear larger regular eyeglasses, they may not cover the entire lens. You will need to look through the center of your regular glasses, to see through the 3D glasses. Overall, they are very comfortable, and you don't notice them while watching an entire 2 - 3 hour movie. You really need more than the 2 pairs that come with the TV, if you want to share the 3D experience with more than one other person. I would suggest you buy extra pairs now, because as technology changes, you may not be able to get compatible glasses in the future. One word of caution, I had a few of my nephew's and nieces over to watch a 3D movie, and as soon as the movie was over, they all took of their glasses and threw them on the chairs and left! I guess from experience in 3D movie theaters!? There was no point telling them how much each one costs! I make it a point to collect all the glasses at the end of the movie, turn the battery off, and then use a microfiber cloth to wipe off all the finger prints and pop-corn butter off the glasses before I put them away. Note: These glasses don't come with a case, so I would suggest you buy a hard shell case to store them in. Because of their odd shape, they require a case that is much larger than for regular glasses. By trial and error, I managed to find these reasonable priced cases here on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0053CW8C8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 They are a bit of a tight fit, but the glasses do fit, but only one way. The glasses have to face you, and you may have to fiddle with it a bit the first time, but they do protect the glasses well. The attached picture shows how they fit.

Works great!
Excellent glasses. So light you forget you're wearing them. Paired up perfectly with my XBR-75X940D Sony TV. No need paying extra for rechargeable glasses. The batteries used (only one needed per set of glasses) last approximately 100 hours and are dirt cheap to replace. They're also simple to manage and the one time registration required couldn't be easier.

If you have equipment to support 3D - get enough glasses to enjoy it!
The glasses work well for Active 3D viewing. These are actually hard to find - partly because, while 3D is cool in the theaters, it turned out to be just a fad in the home. People ultimately want 4K viewing and HDR (new upcoming format). They want a stunning picture, not a novelty that actually reduces resolution (slightly). These glasses chew up batteries, but they have some features to help mitigate this issue. They have a small light, easy to see but not distracting while viewing, to determine if they are on. Also, they turn off it they don't sync with a 3D signal after a minute or so. If you have the equipment to support 3D, get the glasses. The worst thing is having the Sponge Bob Movie in 3D, 3 people, and two pairs of glasses (sounds like a real example - it was...).

Dead on Arrival.
Two of these came with my TV and I bought 2 more since there's 4 of us. The two with the TV worked fine. These two don't work at all. They will not register, the blinky lights say the brand new batteries are low BUT when I switch in the batteries that work in the other glasses, these still dont work and still say batteries are low (3 blinks every 2 seconds.) Infant mortality? Bad batch? What?

Not as good as the ones that came with the TV
These are a little heavier than a regular pair of glasses or sunglasses. Over time, like say a couple hours watching a movie, they will become very uncomfortable. They left a mark across the bridge of my nose that was still visible when I went to bed a couple hours after using them. The glasses that came with the TV have a soft rubber piece that sits on your nose and makes all the difference in the world in terms of comfort. At first I thought this rubber piece was missing but on closer examination, there is no place for it to attach to these glasses. The 3D does work as well as the original glasses. However, I think you would be better off trying to locate a working pair of old glasses with the rubber bridge. It is hard to overstate how uncomfortable these glasses get after just one movie. I bought this pair so I would have enough glasses for a Toy Story marathon we have planned. That will be 4 1/2 hours of wearing these things. I am not looking forward to it like I should be. I have included a picture of the new pair next to one of the old pairs.
