Wii motion Bundle a good package for Wii enthusiasts
The Wii motionplus bundle is a good deal for two reasons: 1) It saves you money on 3 items that would cost a lot more if each one was bought separately 2) The black remote makes its white predecessor pale in comparison in the looks department. The motionplus add-on is a must if you play games such as Wii sports resort, EA sports active, Wii fit etc. that rely almost completely on motion tracking for gameplay. Playing fitness games without them can be frustrating when you are waving your controller frantically trying to get a response, while your character is in a world of their own. However, you can easily get away without the motionplus in other games like Metroid or The Legend of Zelda, but it's still a welcome addition nonetheless. The controller works fine and has given me absolutely no problems so far. If you're considering skipping the motionplus to save some money, my advice is not to do so. Most of the newer games are almost required to have the motionplus and it seems to be a trend that will continue well into the future as long as the Wii console remains viable.Bottom line is that this is a worthwile investment if you need an extra controller for your Wii console.

Great combo pack in a cool color
There's not a whole lot to say about this controller set that you wouldn't already know from previously using the standard white controllers. I will, however, say that the black glossy finish on the face of the controller is extremely attractive, and brings a whole new life to the Wii controller. This combo pack includes the MotionPlus attachment which, while not currently supported by a lot of games, will be seeing more and more use in the near future. It also includes 2 opaque black Nintendo branded rubber "jackets" for the controller (1 for use with the MotionPlus, 1 without), a black wrist strap, and 2 AA batteries (a nice little bonus in a world where companies are usually cutting corners).Like all Nintendo hardware products, this thing is built like a rock. While using the rubber jackets is not required, it will help to extend the life of these controllers even further (although I'm still using my two white controllers that I got on launch day for the Wii, never put them in a jacket and they're going strong). My biggest complaint is that if Nintendo is selling this product as a bundle, why can't they simply build that MotionPlus functionality into the original controller's form factor? The added width from the MotionPlus attachment forces you to remove the attachment whenever you want to play games that require you to hold the controller horizontally, like New Super Mario Bros. It just seems silly to feel like I always have to swap the attachments on and off whenever I want to play something like Wii Sports Resort.Despite this one little issue, this bundle is a fantastic value, I highly purchasing one (or more) of these if you don't yet have 4 controllers for the Wii but would like to round out your collection.

Motion Plus is add on.
I just want to make this clear: The Wii MotionPlus is an external add on for this remote. It is NOT the internal MotionPlus that all the newer remotes have now. Some of the picture up top can be misleading to this fact. Otherwise it works fine just like any Wii remote. The one annoying thing is that because of the external MotionPlus hardware, the controller doesn't fit into the Wii wheels for Mario Cart. You have to remove the MotionPlus piece to fit the controller in, though to be honest, i never really noticed a difference between controllers with MotionPlus an those without. It just gets a little cumbersome to put in on and off, especially with the cover.

Cant see any difference from regular controller
I like my Wii but it's frustrating when the Wii doesn't sense the motions of the controller. I had problems using the original controller with my EA Sports Active workouts so I bought this figuring it may work better. Far too often the Sensor bar doesn't pick up the movements. Hopefully when Microsoft releases their motion control it works far better than this.

Description is not accurate
I bought this as an additional wii remote to the one that came with the console and to be able to play the new Zelda Skyward sword that requires a remote with motion plus feature. I was a bit disappointed when received the remote and found out it was a WHITE REMOTE with a BLACK SLEEVE. NOT the BLACK REMOTE stated in the product description. The motion plus accesory is attached to the bottom of the sleeve and has a lock for safely fixing the motion plus accesory to the wii remote. As you might imagine, the result was not pretty when putting together the white remote in the black sleeve. That's the only reason why I would rate a 3 over 5 stars to this one. On the other hand, the remote synced and worked smoothly with my console, the speaker is loud and clear, and also it's the original Nintendo remote (or at least it looks exactly like one) - which is a relieve. I hope this one won't break down during the first 6 months of use (the case for other reviews I've read), but so far there is no problem. If you're thinking of buying this bundle, I would tell you to think again. It's better business to go for a new model of wii remote plus (it incorporates the motion plus feature (without the need of the bulky motion plus extension); Even better, I would go for the Wii Play: Motion game that also includes a black wii remote plus for the comfortable price of USD 47, and includes free shipping!
