- Ona Gel Pro 25.8 oz

This is very different than something that masks smells, like Febreeze. This is an odor deodorizer, which actually attaches to the particles and deodorizes. This stuff is legit. It has a scent similar to a urinal cake, but it's not bad, it has a chemical-type smell. This will get rid of even the strongest odors. If you blow a fan on it, it will not last nearly as long, but work much quicker. It is a jello-like gel that will dry out when & evaporate. If you use a fan, you can rehydrate the gel, which will increase its use, but it'll be less potent. I don't use the fans, I just put it out on a dish. Highly recommend, even though it's pricey.

In the simplest terms, this stuff works. Rat died in out walls. Smell was horrible and unhealthy. Placed this near the issue and it overpowered the bad smell. This does give off a strong citrus smell but .that is better than a rotting rat smell. I recommend.

Smells great. I have smell triggered migraines and the smell did not bother me. It doesn’t smell like chemicals. It just smells clean, not overpowering. Gets rid of “party” smells ;) and helps my 125 yo house smell so good. My only issue is that they do not make the liquid in this scent. I would prefer the liquid.

I will say that I do like this product. It does exactly what it says. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to other odor removal methods; I would recommend this. I can leave it in the room with the lid off of it all day and when it needs to be refreshed, I simply put the lid back onto the plastic jar and shake it up, then remove the lid again for a stronger scent. There is enough liquid. Do not add water. There is an Ona liquid that can be purchased if you feel that there is not enough liquid.

WORTH THE MONEY. This one I bought was HUGE in comparison to the first ONA product I bought. It's half the size of your average ice cream container. If you need to get ANY smell out of ANYWHERE an ONA jar is the way to go. The gels do dry out much faster than the ONA Block series but they work just as well to ELIMINATE odors. I used an ONA block in the trunk of my car that my sister spilled her gas can in and I couldn't drive without smelling it, and ONA extracted the smell OVERNIGHT and I never had the scent return. And she spilled more than a sip of gas, more like a cup or even a quart. This order went into a bathroom that backed up and we couldn't get the smell out. No more FUNK now, thanks ONA

The odor was extremely strong, and the air filter was not helping much at all, so we ordered this. Once we opened the jar we poked a couple small holes in the top foil and set it down beside a small air cleaner with a fan on high. When we got back home today and opened the door the odor was totally gone, and with only a slight scent of the product. We see no need to remove the entire top wrapper, logically it should last much longer with the method of poking holes on top of the jar as opposed to removing the entire top wrapper. It's expensive to buy this way, much cheaper bought in bulk. But it works! It works great.

I bought another brand first and it stunk and did not smell like anything that belonged in the house. Ona works great and smells like it belongs.

I used to work at a gardening store that sold Ona, so I knew it had a good reputation for getting rid of strong, skunky odors. I had a skunky odor problem of my own, so I bought the Ona Gel (on accident, I wanted Ona Block, but that's okay, Gel works fine). I drilled some holes in the plastic lid and set it up by my air purifier so that the outgoing air would pass over the Ona container. This worked extremely well, eliminating all smells in my apartment. I'd wake up in the morning and walk into the living room, and it would smell like Ona and not anything else, so the Ona was actually being circulated around my apartment somewhat by my office air purifier and maybe the HVAC system. Only problem is that my eyes started hurting and I was getting tiny little styes all the time, with red patches and little white pimples under my eyes, and the area under my eyes was very tender and hurt if I rubbed it. After a few days, it dawned on me the only recent change was setting up the Ona on the air purifier, so to test the theory out I put the Ona away in a cabinet and by the next morning my eyes were 80% better and by the second day they were 100% better. So I think clearly something in the Ona was irritating my eyes. So while the Ona Gel definitely eliminated any and all odors in my apartment, I don't think I will be able to keep using it. It's a shame, because even when running two HEPA air purifiers in my office, it can get very stinky and stay stinky for a long time without the help of Ona. I don't think everyone has this problem, and maybe I wasn't meant to leave it out at all times, but I did see one other review about someone saying it affected their roommate's eyes, so I am not alone in this!

The smell can be overpowering out of the container... However! We decided to scoop a few spoonfuls of the gel pieces into glass ramekins. We then placed one ramekin in each room of our house. And wow! The odour is very mild, sometimes indiscernible. When you do smell it we find it smells like a cleaning product - inoffensive, pleasant and refreshing. The gel lasts a few days in a well ventilated area, so a little goes a long way with this stuff. All in all this product is very good and it helps immensely with smells of dog or smoke.

Had a dead mouse under the boards beneath the water tank in the loft which stank and permeated our loft bedroom and the first floor landing. Put this in the area next to the water tank and it started working instantly. Probably took a couple of days for the smell to completely go. The airing cupboard directly below was the only area that still had a smell so we bought a sachet of something different and put it in there (only because it was cheaper and it was a small space.) If the sachet hadn't worked we would have bought another Ona gel as couldn't ask for anything to work better. So easy to use - just shake, peel off the inside seal and put it where you want it. The smell of the gel is okay too - just smells of the essential oils but as we put it in the loft space couldn't smell that either.
