Well Made, easy to play, and a great value!
I love the Java cut reeds! They are well cut, and together with my mouthpiece they make my horns sing! Individually wrapped for freshness, and consistency, these Vandoren Java reeds are the best for Tenor Saxophone! I've been using these for years, and their quality is hands down the best for Tenor Sax!

came up short
Love the reeds. I've tried Prestini, Rico, and another type of vandoren and on the advice of my instructor tried the Java tenor reeds. They work well (have a nice voice), and seem to hold up longer. Reeds come sealed and wrapped individually and have a reed holder for each. In terms of complaints, my first box of 5 only contained 4 reeds. Second issue is I'd like to be able to buy a box of 10 but apparently they don't come in that amount.

Excellent Quality and sound!
I've been playing tenor for 50 yrs and have never been so pleased with a reed! I could kick myself for not having tried these ages ago despite hearing raves from a few people.

Good reads, reasonably priced
These reeds are really nice. I switched over from Rico Royal and I'm really happy that I did. They're long lasting and provide a really great sound. I use these as I play in a couple of small community groups including a jazz band and a saxophone ensemble. I'll be buying these as needed in the future.

My Go-To Reed for Tenor Sax
My tenor sax go-to reed now. I've used a wide variety of cane and synthetic reeds for the past few years, but recently discovered the Vandoren JAVA works best for me. The key words in that last sentence were "works best for me." The reason there is such a mind-boggling variety reeds made from various materials in various ways and packaged in different manners (although packaging has nothing to do with playability), suggests the individual taste that attends the selection of a reed.
