Channel your inner M.C. Escher with these brain teaser puzzles! These easily assembled 3D puzzles are each composed of many identical pieces that cleverly fit together to become larger geometric shapes. The cardstock pieces in this kit are pre-cut, so you just pop them out and bend or fold where indicated, then bind them together with a little glue. The step-by-step instructions in the book are very easy to follow and show you how to assemble the individual paper components, then how to assemble them to create the larger interlocking models. This kit includes: A full-color instruction book 165 pre-cut paper pieces that you pop out and assemble These endlessly entertaining paper puzzles are impossible to put down. They include the following intriguing models: Dodecahedron Bears and Frogs—cute animal "couples" that form a 12-faced geodesic sphere when the pieces are fitted together. Bird and Fish modules that dovetail together to create a seamless 3D form in a nod to Escher's Sky and Water woodcut. A Reversible Dodecahedron that—with the addition of magnets—dramatically inverts itself when tossed into the air! An intricate Pyramid Box conceals a secret inner chamber that is perfect for presenting a small gift to that special someone. The challenging 4-Piece Tetrahedron and 12-Lizard Cube provide a tremendous feeling of satisfaction once all of the pieces finally align into place. Plus many more! Noted Japanese papercraft designer Haruki Nakamura created this wonderful collection of interlocking paper puzzles and toys to intrigue and delight both paper-crafting and puzzle enthusiasts. Each project is a new challenge, and the finished objects are great conversation pieces that look fantastic on your desk or shelf! Review: tediously fun - Extremely tedious but that's what I was looking for. I'm enjoying how long it takes me to complete a project. Review: Fun paper puzzles to construct - Fun puzzles for make. Good instruction, but difficult to get it all glued together. Takes some skill. I would not think appropriate for children.

Fun design but very poor production!!!
Interesting and fun paper puzzles to assemble however sloppy production with the die cut off set by 4cm. The only reason they get 2 stars is because you can download the puzzles in pdf format and waste your ink to get a proper cut. Also the pdf size is 9.3x12.5 a strange Chinese paper size not found in any paper size chart. I can't be convinced to buy any of the other kits offered by Tuttlepublishing.

Paper is very thin
These are great. Templates have pop-out piece, which i love (you will have to crease the pieces yourself), but worth it. I just wish it was printer on stronger paper. you can always print them on better cardstock, but then you'll have to cut out the pieces.

Concept: 10 Execution: 1
The problem is the die-cuts don't align with the artwork. This includes the folding lines, which should be burnished if it's die-cut. Basically, what you get here is a helpful (but not necessary) instruction booklet and a sturdy box with way too much packaging material that still allows the lightweight papers to slide around and get dented, and can't store the assembled puzzle pieces. Happily, Tuttle provides free downloads you can print on heavier card stock. This entails a lot of precise knife work, but hey, that's why we do paper projects, right? And these are really neat! So, maybe skip the kit and go for the ebook.

fun but finicky
I enjoyed the paper puzzles, but you have to be quite precise at assembling some of them or they don't fit together very well. A nice past time just the same

Genious
If you're into developing your children's creative forces this is just so much fun. So glad we purchased it. Never seen anything like it and we adore everything with paper (origami, karakuri etc.)

Great alternative to screen time
Bought for my 11 year old son who has been creating origami for a few years now so I’d say he’s an intermediate level. He’s really enjoying this and dips in and out when he’s looking for something to do. The box is full to the brim and sturdy so easy to store the contents. The paper pops out easily without ripping. He’s made some fun puzzle based creations.
