Each treatment lasts between 2 to 3 years and covers trunks up to 14 inches in diameter, making it a practical and efficient solution for maintaining healthy trees. ## Description Medicap FE 1/2" SUPER iron systemic implants are useful in all types of trees with iron deficiency, a condition known as chlorosis. Such deficiencies are normally associated with calcareous, arid or sandy soil conditions. Trees most susceptible are oak (pin oak and white oak), black locust, eucalyptus, birch, sweet gum (liquid amber), pine, magnolia, sycamore, dogwood, podocarpus, poplar, catalpa, citrus, peach, pear, apple, avocado and silver maple. One treatment will last for 2 to 3 years. Medicaps are easily installed by tapping the implants with a hammer and bolt or dowel rod into pre-drilled 1/2" diameter holes in the lower tree trunk at 4 to 6 inch spacing. The cartridge head securely plugs the small wound made to the tree trunk and the active layer of cambium will soon grow over and close the implant site. Under normal moisture conditions, the chemical will move throughout the entire tree within 14 to 21 days for quick Greenup. 10 Medicaps will treat a 14 inch diameter tree. BTW, I used this for the first time this year on my pin oaks and the difference was incredible. One oak would bloom normally in April, grow full leaves for about a month or so then by June the leaves would turn yellow/brown and by July they'd look like they do in October. Added this to all 3 trees this spring and all 3 are still nicely green and healthy now, even with a near drought condition this summer where I live. Only used it once but it has worked great - no complaints! **Q: can you use this produced now or spring time & can this be use on any tree can you help with this please thank you jim** A: Use it in early spring when the sap starts to flow, and the best results are if it's used on Pin Oak trees. You can try it on any tree (minimum 6" diameter trunk I believe) and see if it does any good. It's mostly just an iron supplement which will green up leaves but won't do much of anything else.
