Just as long as the Tascam is powered on before you open Logic it will immediately be recognized and you can be recording within seconds at input defaults or configure as you please. No drivers need on Mac: plug 'n play. Thus far I've used it under OS 10.9 to 10.12.6 with perfect compatibility with Logic Pro X. **Q: Can this be used to play four separate audio files simultaneously, outputting to eight channels?** A: Yes it can!
