How long are support poles ?

I believe the specs say they extend 7.5 feet. I have not fully extended the poles on any of my trips so I can't verify the 7.5 foot length. I am 5'10", my set up deployed allows for at least 10-12" of head room.

Will it stay up wtihout using the legs if you want to?

No, the Awning requires all of the legs to be secured in the ground.

Will this rhino compact fit on 2017 tundra short bad with yakima overhaul hd racks?

With this specific system though, we cannot say as to whether it can or not as engineering has not tested it. We know know it works with our HD bars, the Prorack Trade, Thule professional, Prorac Whispar HD all with the Heavy Duty hardware kit part # (33101).

What is the length of the awning in the "Stowed" position ?

The Compact awning is 79 inches long while stowed on the vehicle.
