But it meets carry on restrictions without having the wheels that get it taken away from you, and if you're fit enough for the weight you pack, the backpack straps make it super easy to carry, plus handholds on two sides. The zipper expansion rocks too: though it makes it oversize (still not as big as bags the airlines routinely allow despite their purported restrictions), if you have compressible contents such as clothes, you can use the expansion feature combined with side straps to pack and then cinch back down to compliance size.
