This is our third Intex above ground pool. Each one lasts about 4 years, before the pipes rust out, which is understandable considering we have a saltwater system also from Intex. I like simple design - soft sides, round curved bottom corners, and powerful pump. I combined it with the Intex saltwater & Ozone system, which works great when it works. I highly recommend you spend effort on setting it up well - get a smooth and flat yard area - I used a 12"x12" x 2" thick paver in the center and screeded sand in a circle using a straight 2x4 12' long. Then I got a heavy duty single piece pad 27' round to soften any bumps from rocks and make the bottom smoother. I also buried 12"x12"x2" square pavers under each post to distribute the load from the posts so the posts don't sink in the ground and make the top edges uneven. I also really like the pool filter balls in lieu of sand in the filter - just find some good ones that won't fall apart. It can be very difficult to get the last horizontal piece installed - I had to get creative and pry like crazy to get it to fit, but I only have to do that once for the entire life of the pool. My son loves the inflatable pool float chairs and the floating cooler holder. He took the lid off, climbed in and used it as a boat! Super fun. I highly recommend you get this Ultra XTR version and not the lesser quality versions. My neighbor got the cheap Intex version and it died after one season. I also like the above ground pools because the pool itself is a fence to keep little kids out of it. And in a few years, I can just throw it away if I don't want a pool any more - very little long term commitment.

This Intex 24-foot pool model offers an excellent experience, comfortably accommodating multiple users without feeling overcrowded. Assembly, with two people, took approximately a couple of hours. Prior to setup, we ensured the ground was professionally leveled with six tons of sand, a critical step for this type of pool. During the initial filling, it's important to monitor and adjust the support poles, as they can shift. I noted a couple of slightly tilted poles that I wish I had corrected before the pool was fully filled. The included bonus floats are well-constructed and designed to keep users elevated above the water. The extra-large floating cooler is a practical accessory, though its size might make it more suitable for activities like river floating than use within the pool itself. I am particularly impressed with the performance of the sand filter. After four weeks of use, maintenance has been minimal, primarily consisting of a weekly backwash and the addition of chlorine tablets. We also perform a daily brush of the pool bottom to aid circulation. As a result, the water has remained consistently crystal clear.

I bought this pool over a year ago and it's been a great experience. Easy to put up and it's very forgiving especially in regard to level the ground. We tried to level the ground before we put it up and it was not that level but again it's very forgiving. I would suggest adding a skimmer which is extra but well worth it and also putting bricks where the pole is as they sometimes can sink in. Can't think of any problem I had with it.

Do NOT buy this pool. It leaks, they don’t ship the chairs or cooler. They give you the run around about returning it on a pallet. The customer service was TERRIBLE! Don’t do it! I had 12,000 gallons of water all over my yard after spending $800 to fill the pool. I’m disgusted with this purchase.

What a great end of season buy

We're thrilled with this pool. It's turned out fantastic and our kids are having a blast. The install is hard work, but it's a simple process despite the instructions being confusing. The pool comes with a sand filter and after researching that's what ultimate sold me on this pool.

Great pool for the price

The pool frame is good, the filter does not work as it was supposed to.
