Best Guitar fret sanding/polishing pads ever!
I just wanted to take the time to write this review because this product and company are actually deserving of real, legitimate praise! First off, I got these sanding pads to use for my guitar restoration work, specifically for sanding and polishing the frets. All the other nice sanding/polishing pads are either ludicrous expensive or complete garbage. When I came across these, I said to myself - โman, I sure hope these are for real.โ Boy was I right! Theyโre the perfect size, thickness, flexibility, and seem super durable for my application. The holder is cool, but slightly gimmicky, as I found myself just laying them on my table in a rotation order. But, nonetheless, the holder is still a nice touch and holds them nicely. And it can be mounted anywhere, so I put it on the wall to reduce clutter on my workbench. I just gave them a small trial run as I had to re-wire one of my pickup grounds, and had to take the strings off to do so. I used the top 4 grits, and did the 3 frets I have pictured in less than 5 mins. Granted I was using my fret guard instead of tape to save time, but still I got a smoking slick shine with very little effort. The fret guard even got shiny! Thatโs never really happened, lol. I did my whole fretboard in about 20-30 mins! These little pads are the real deal! I sure hope my fellow diy, self made and professional luthiers come across this review and decide to give these a shot. Iโm completely blown away at the quality and results! Now for the other part of my review, which is what drew me to write this. Peachtree Woodworking Supply Inc. is one of the last of its kind these days, in a giant ocean of companies, retailers, and distributors who are all just trying to push their product as fast as they can. This is not the case with Peachtree. They are ambassadors of the long lost and forgotten key element of business. Customer Service!!! I almost forgot what it felt like to be treated like a valued customer. Not only that but they actually cared about my experience. So, when I received this order from Amazon, there was a mishap in the packing of the items, as I had only received the galvanized holder, which I could have cared less about. Initially I thought, โgreat, now Iโm going to have to return this and do it all overโ, because most of the time on partial shipments, you are forced to return what you did receive, have it credited, then you might go and re-order whatever it was you wanted, or you might be over it. Definitely one of the many short-falls in the world of Amazon shipping mishaps. But then I saw a nice, well drawn, easy to understand instruction sheet from the manufacturer. And on that sheet was their customer service number and something along the lines of โplease call us if you have any issues with your orderโ. I gave them a call, and within minutes they had access to my Amazon order, and didnโt even hesitate to do what it took to correct this mishap. Never did I feel as I had to prove myself or defend my case. It was just no questions asked, we apologize for the inconvenience, and weโll get these out to you right away....for a moment I thought I was dreaming, then I remembered - oh ya! I was a customer receiving customer service!!! A few emails exchanged, and a few days later, I had my sanding pads, with no fiery hoops to jump through. I donโt do much woodwork, outside of my guitar work. But I will say this, Iโm definitely going to remember Peachtree Woodworking for the rest of my life. And guess what, whenever I do come across the need for a specific woodworking tool, Iโm not going to mindlessly look through the endless list on Amazon, trying to decipher which reviews are real and which are fake, and overpaying for whatever Chinese POS seemed the least likely to break after the first use. Iโm going to Peachtree Woodworking Supply Inc. directly to confidently purchase whatever I might need and not really care about any cost comparison. Because thatโs what real, thoughtful customer service does for a business. It makes that customer instantly loyal and most of the time, a strong promoter of that business. This is so sad that I am so overwhelmed with joy from something that used to be a standard in any successful business. So all you $4.99 plastic, generic, POS pushers out there - this is how you do it! Care about what youโre selling and about who you sell it to!

perfect system
The carrier is only useful if it's mounted because it's too top heavy, and the pads can stick together a bit, but altogether this is fantastic.

Good quality sanding pads. Sturdy dispenser
Good quality product. Stand is a little gimmicky, but durable. Value is good if you want the stand, otherwise there are better options (i.e. when you order more, pick one without the stand)

For $1 you get the holder!!!
So for basically $1 more, you get the galvanized holder - that is not a bad deal!!!! I super-glued 4 magnets to the back of mine and now it sits securely on the leg of my lathe and is easily accessible and handy. Easy to pull out the pad, dip in water, use, rise before replacing on top and pull the next one out. Keeps the pads in order and nicely stacked.

This is a great idea
When I purchased this I had my doubts on the usefulness of the holder, but I love it! I mounted right in front of my work station and can go though the sanding pads one by one replacing them as I use them so they stay in order. The sanding pads are excellent and give me a super smooth finish.

Great for restorations
These work great for fountain pen restorations.

Great idea, but not much use in the real world.
I already had two sets of these sanding pads, but they get scattered about, and the holder seemed a good idea. In use though, he pads don't slide out easily. Really had to fumble with it and in short order I threw the holder on the floor and just piled the new pads up with the old ones.

good product, however
this is a good but expensive product... the stand is ok for storage but the pads don't just come out one at a time as you might think... I take them all out of the stand and use them one at a time then put the entire stack back into the stand (storage rack)... in summary the storage rack looks very cool but does not function as you may think

Fantastic idea implemented
Micromesh pads are a staple for good fretwork. The metal dispenser is a great way to keep these in sequence.

It's ok, just crazy expensive
It's ok, but I've used the pads for just a short time and already they are wearing out. Also the dispenser is ok but nothing special, it's cheap metal... If this was selling at 1/4 of the price it would be ok, but at this price the customer is being ripped off.
