R400-1 R400 Series Bob Red Brass Float Valve, 1" NPT Male Inlet x 1" NPT Male Outlet, 68.5 gpm at 85 psi Pressure

I bought this valve for my 200 gallon well holding tank. This has been working great. No leaks or anything. Ok so if you want this to work you need a long enough arm and a big enough float. I used a 10 inch arm and 6 inch float. You need enough pressure to close it off and stop the high water pressure flow. That water causes a lot of force. You also need to adjust the arm the correct angle. I have it set at a pretty steep angle. Do this and it'll work great. You can always get an even bigger arm and bigger float, you can get as much pressure as you need to shut it off doing that. For some of the users having a problem, honestly you're just not doing it right. So yeah, it will gush out at first when it's full open, but it slowly closes at the water rises. That means a lot at first but the water rises slower as it closes shut, that means you'll have it open longer as it gets closer to shutting off. So of course it's going to go from a gush to a small stream/leak to eventually closing off. It WILL close off it just takes time to fill your tank once it's close to closing off and only a small stream/leak is coming out. Once it's closed it's closed and is holding back up to 60 PSI from my pressure tank that is before the holding tank and valve. I'm happy with this and would buy this brand again. I really get tired of people scaring others off because they don't know how to set up a product properly. I'm glad I bought it anyway. For some reason nobody in town sells anything larger than 3/4 size. Thank goodness for Amazon.
