I am using them for planting seeds. Bought 2 sets of 12. Instead of storing shoes in these 9" high storage containers. I have found a different purpose. I drills 8 large holes in the bottom of the container fill with 6" of dirt. I use the lid of container under neath to catch excess water. Fits perfectly on my six foot metal shelves with grow lights tied on to the under side of each shelf, using nylon string. I use to use zip ties. But since the zip ties are so cheaply made now aday. Zip tie broke almost damaging my grow light. Glad I had a back up with nylon string having wire running through the string.
