They are thinner and more form fitting than the regular elbow pads, less bulky so you can weak a jacket over them, right balance between protection and comfort.

Very good and never slip do2n. They run very tight but you can cut the inner band if desired to loosen them. The outer strap is very short but I really don't need a long one since they fit so well as is. I had the regular 187s before and it was nice to get rid of some of the bulk. No regrets.
