Review: Happy Mama, Happy Babies Recommend Vitamin Code Prenatal Vitamins - I came here to check one of the ingredients on this prenatal vitamin, which I have used for both of my pregnancies, and I noticed a small string of negative reviews. So, I wanted to add my two cents, even though I usually tend to shy away from reviews. So far as I can tell, these prenatal vitamins have worked really well for both of my pregnancies. Our son is happy, healthy, and bright, and we had an uneventful pregnancy and labor and delivery. Our baby-on-the-way is developing well and is active in the womb. I also want to note that with my first pregnancy, sometime in my first trimester, I ran out of these vitamins and switched to Garden of Life for about a week or so. During that week, I started having painful cramps that were like nothing I have experienced before in my life, and I was genuinely terrified that I might be miscarrying. I told my husband about my symptoms, and he asked if I had changed anything in my routine. I said no at first, but then I remembered the prenatal vitamins. I switched back to Vitamin Code immediately, and within a day I was back to my happy, cramp-free self; from there, I went on to have a healthy pregnancy. So, just a word of caution that it really can make a difference which prenatal vitamins you choose. A few other thoughts: I think the taste of these vitamins are mild, and they're not too difficult to swallow. They do tend to float a little in the water when I take them, so I just take my time and try to relax. For those who are worried about Nestle owning the company now (I haven't verified this, but I will take others' claims at face value), I can say that I notice no difference between when I took these in 2015/2016 and now in 2021/2022. They seem just as high quality as they always were. The only other thing I'll note is that it's good to take an additional calcium supplement with these, especially if you avoid dairy. I hope this review helps and reassures anyone who might be on the fence. These are really excellent prenatal vitamins, tried and true for me, and I am glad to recommend them.
Review: Natural ingredients, great price, no nausea - I really like these Prenatals. The top reason being that I can take them on an empty stomach without getting nauseous, that’s huge! All the ingredients seem very clean and the price is amazing! I tried the more expensive brands but can’t tell the difference so will continue these and recommend!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do they contain Folic acid?**
A: I emailed them to find out if it was Folate or Folic Acid. This was their response:Thank you for your email and interest in Garden of Life's products. Our products contain Folate and not Folic Acid. The Folate used in our Vitamin Code formulas is in a whole food form grown as a RAW Food-Created Nutrient.

**Q: What is the serving size?**
A: Hi, Saydee, The recommended serving size for the Garden of Life RAW Prenatal multi is three capsules. You can take one capsule three times per day (with or without food), or take all three at once. Or, if you prefer, you can also open the capsules and add the contents to water or raw juice. I hope this helps! Thanks,Noelle K. Garden of Life

**Q: Is the folate in the pills Methylfolate? Where do they get the folate from?**
A: The Folate in our Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal is not labeled as methyl-folate, and therefore we are unable to claim that it is.

The Folate in our Vitamin Code Products is in a whole food form, made with RAW Food-Created Nutrients. This process utilizes a single isolated vitamin or mineral that is fed to the yeast or probiotic. A specific peptide designed for that particular nutrient is then introduced, in order to allow the nutrient to be metabolized (or absorbed) through the yeast's cell wall.

This process mimics nature, just like when a plant takes an inorganic mineral salt that is naturally occurring in the soil (selenium, for example), and absorbs it into its roots, the plant becomes rich in selenium. This process is conducted with two distinct organisms: S. cerevisiae (baker's yeast) and L. bulgaricus (probiotic culture used in traditional yogurt recipes which is non-dairy).

I hope this helps!
Thanks,
Noelle K.

**Q: Do the 180caps jars contain"vitex"?if so, I've read that it alters a woman's cycle.Wld that mean the woman will just sched ttc based on new cycle?**
A: I would like to let you know that we recently made some slight adjustments to the Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal formula and updated the label to accommodate the FDA's new RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowances) requirements for Vitamins and Minerals.

While the packaging may vary during this interim period, the new Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal formula contains Vitamin E (as d-alpha tocopherol) from Sunflower Oil, rather than Vitex-extracted Vitamin E.

It's important to note that Vitex was not added as a direct ingredient to our Vitamin Code Raw Prenatal; rather it was the source of Vitamin E, which was extracted from the Vitex. Therefore, if any Vitex was present, it would have been in a trace amount.

This product is Non-GMO Project Verified, Raw, Gluten Free, and Certified Kosher, and contains no artificial colors or preservatives.

I hope you find this information helpful.
Take care,
Erin M.
