I think it is pretty much sediment. **Q: When should I change the O ring** A: On average at least every 60-90 days if you notice a drop in pressure that’s a sure time your filter is do for a change out. Also will depend on your over all water quality and how much sediment comes in off your lines. **Q: Does it lower tds levels? i have 431 tds** A: Assuming TDS meant “total dissolved solids” the answer would be no. This is a sediment filter only and will not remove anything already in solution. **Q: Is this 5 or 20 micron? Both are listed.
