Mudras for Body, Mind and Spirit: The Handy Course in Yoga

This is a fabulous card set. They are beautifully illustrated. On one side of the card you can clearly see what position the hands should take. On the other side, is the name of the mudra along with an affirmation, a short description and a small meditation. It's a really great combination. It can be used as an oracle - pick one card randomly to see what message you need to know at that moment - or you can search for a particular ailment and choose that mudra. The cards are color coded too: orange/red: strength, courage, energy yellow: mental alertness green: inner equilibrium and harmony blue: calm, relaxation violet: transformation, spirituality, change I have Gertrude's book but I find this card deck to be supremely better. It provides everything you need to get started using mudras but I love the extra affirmations and meditations. It's a beautiful addition to my yoga/meditation/spiritual practice!

I like how the cards have details and affirmations to speak for each Mudra and pictures to illustrate how each hand sign should be done.

There is much more to these cards than I anticipated. They are very complete and informative. In fact, I have much to learn from them. The cards are beautifully done and show how to hold your hand position. The book and information on the cards tells why the mudra and how it affects our body and mind. Excellent.

I don't know if I can convey my excitement at receiving and using these cards. One can tell they were designed with love and bliss. They are beautiful and such a great way to learn the mudras. Especially if you have any physical problems that interfer with exercise or yoga....so much can be accomplished with the mudras. I love them!! It's great to pick a card at random and have it be perfect for what is best for that day. Can't rate these high enough!! Without going into all the historical details etc. that most books give (to fill up pages I think) these go right to the heart of the matter. 5*
