Worked great. Very solid kit

I purchased this to use on my Campbell Hausfeld compressor which I bought used. The one that came with it was not unloading properly causing the compressor to struggle with restarting under pressure. That has been resolved with this valve. I was a bit surprised it did not come with the nut and compression for where the 1/2" line goes into the top of the valve. But it was not in the picture so can't really complain about it. After the installation it was leaking around the top connection since there was no brass compression ring. I had to buy one at the hardware, which was not a huge deal, to stop the leak - which it did. Just something to be aware of if you are planning to pick one of these up. Other than that, it went together smooth and resolved my compressor restart issues as expected. I can totally recommend this valve for others needing to replace one of this size. It's well made and comes with two fittings (minus the top nut and compression ring) and all threads have sealant making the installation pretty straight forward.

I had acquired a Craftsman 25 gallon air compressor several years ago, but never used it, so it basically sat in my shed for years until I recently decided to get it up and running. I knew I needed to put in some fresh oil and check the main parts, including the check valve. When I took the old one out, it was somewhat corroded but still in working order, but I wanted to replace it with a new one just to be safe. Lo and behold, the exact replacement piece was no longer available. That's when I searched around and found this one, Hromee Air Compressor Replacement Components Brass 1/2 Inch MNPT Compressor in Tank Check Valve Kit . While the dimensions were slightly different (this one was slightly longer), it fit the tank perfectly and was a good replacement part. From what I can tell, the compressor is working perfectly and I have a brand new compressor for my shop. I would say just measure carefully and compare the old one to the new one as best as you can before ordering, because I actually had ordered another one first and top compression inlet was the wrong size so I had to send that one back. I would recommend this kit for replacing your check valve.

Anyone who has ever worked on shop air compressors knows how much fun they are to have working with no problems.. Air is a BIG DEAL For me and for most shops. So when this valve is not working properly from the factory it usually doesn’t get any better with just replacing it. Oh heck no, usually the compression fitting is on its last seal and all the parts that need to be removed is just a pain in the ass. Now the supply line has kinked and leaking and it’s a special kind of part too. Ahh the endless fun with low quality parts from Amazon again…
