Beautiful quality knife - well worth it
Some of my woodworking involves precise marking and layout. I could use a regular utility knife, but I like that this knife is specifically right handed, meaning it's flat on one side and tapered to its cutting edge on the other. By placing the flat side up to my ruler or square, I can then be sure I'm not accidentally running my mark at a bit of an angle. The knife is a good size and a good firm fit in my hand. Not only that, it's well made and has beautiful designs engraved on its handle. Very glad that I bought it. I don't need it for everything, but when I need to be precise, this knife is very helpful. Highly recommend.

Maintains a good sharp edge.
I've had the blade since May 2020. I've used it daily for leatherwork. I have other blades that I've spent far more money on and they do not stand up to this one in any way. It has maintained a very nice edge during my use. I've only had to strop the edge occasionally. To be honest I've not been nice to this knife. Well worth the money.

Nice blade
I read many reviews before purchasing this knife. Listening to everyone complaining about the case and how you can stab right through it. I didn't see any claims saying it even came with a case to begin with. As far as sharp goes. I use the 3m scary sharp sharpening system. Nothing comes sharp now that I truly understand what sharp is. Blade takes a edge well and stays sharp longer then my chisels do. I wouldn't question purchasing this or recommending it again. Its worth every penny and then some.

abjectly perfect
Takes and holds a wicked edge, ground very flat along the blade so this thing can do a ton of versatile tasks like marking, carving, even planing off little edges and chips (or paint runs because you were a moron and had your paint gun set to "firehose" on accident. which I totally didn't do) Comfortable enough to hold, obviously it isn't going to be your go-to carving knife. I do wish there was a sort of leather sheath for it, but I guess I can just make my own.

Absolutely sharp
This is by far my favorite cutting tool. I use this for trimming my pool cue when it starts to mushroom. It does it so smooth and easy. It is better than an exact knife or razor blade because of how stiff it is and that it's flat on one side. I also feel like ti servers as extra protection in case I'm gambling and someone gets upset when they loose. I love it great all around tool.

Try not to tell anyone about how great this is, let's keep it a secret.

Great sharpness
This has a good weight and feels substantial in your hand. It was very sharp out of the box. I am probably over the top about sharpening and sharpness of tools so it was great to have a sharp product to start with. The dimensions were as described but once I used it, it was a little longer and wider than anticipated, but still very easy to use.

It's a modest quality knife.
It isn't terrible steel, but it took several hours of work to correct the rounded over bits. I have purchased kiridashi knives in the past for about 1/2 of this price that were better and came ready to use. Also, this isn't made in Japan, as far as I can tell, despite the claim that it is. Rather, it is made "with the support" of the company in Japan, so, IOW, a fib.
