This is a top-tier solution for managing pests like ants, cockroaches, silverfish, crickets, slugs, and snails. With a 5% boric acid formula, it disrupts pests' ability to metabolize food, leading to their demise without causing resistance. Its weather-resistant granules remain effective through heat, sunlight, and up to 4 inches of rain, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. The bait is virtually odorless and non-staining, ensuring discreet and clean use. It's safe for pets and beneficial insects when applied correctly. A reliable choice for long-term pest management.

Camelback crickets gone.
Had camelback crickets and wasn’t sure if this would work. Well 2.5 weeks later no crickets. It’s worth it. I put the bait out heavy probably not what it calls for but I don’t care the buggers are gone. I’ll have to reapply for the eggs that they laid I’m sure But for my case it worked great.

Great for camel crickets (aka spider crickets)
Short version: We had a camel cricket infestation in our garage and after research decided to use this product. It worked great. We saw a significant decrease in the population within four days and it was completely gone after two weeks. Highly recommend this product for spaces where children and pets will not have access. Long version: We moved into our new house last November. With the move came tons of boxes we no longer needed but didn't want to throw out, so we collapsed them and stored them in the garage. Then came the other boxes and trash from all the products we needed to buy, and the garage quickly became a place to store junk rather than our car. By the middle of summer, I started to notice these odd, brown colored crickets. I didn't think anything of it. It's a new house; it's a garage; it's just a few bugs. A month later, there were more. A month after that, they practically covered the walls. It had become a problem. When I started doing some research, I learned they were camel crickets. Okay, fine, now I know the enemy. Then I learned that, when startled, they tend to jump at your face. Then I learned that, while not aggressive, they do bite. Why were they in -my- garage? They like to eat cardboard (among many other things). With fall fast approaching, I wanted to stop this infestation out in the garage before they came into the house. Reviews for this product were great so I bought it and began to see results within three or four days. After a week, I did a second application to try to get into the corners of my junk storage chamber, er, I mean my "garage", and a week after that the crickets were completely gone. As we have a dog and a toddler, I would not use this product in places where they would have access, but in a garage, attic, or around the perimeter of the house, I highly recommend it.

Biological Warfare against bugs - if you understand how it works
It's a war out there and if you don't want to fight bugs every day, use Niban as your ultimate weapon. I recommend a cheap battery powered handheld spreader - about $15 - to provide an even spread around the perimeter of your home. The spreader prevents waste and ensures new colonies will be kept at bay. You can also get it with a shaker jug, but I prefer the spreader much more. It is weatherproof, so you can apply it as long as there is no standing water to wash it away. Bugs eat it and it just prevents them from extracting nutrition from food. It does not kill on contact and will NOT work overnight - it takes a couple days before they suddenly disappear. It is safe for bees, birds and pets and can be used indoors. They make a "Fine Granular" powder with "FG" behind the name in order to get into cracks and tight spaces indoors. The regular Niban can be used indoors and out and it has no odor. The best part is that you only need to apply it every 3-4 months and bugs do NOT develop a tolerance for it.

Worked for first a few applications
It worked well for the first few applications, but its effectiveness quickly declined. I still see silverfish and ants actively around. It's also a bit pricey.

It WORKS
I live in the south, where Palmetto bugs call it home. Outdoor roaches that are2-3 inches long. Smart llittle buggers that can find a way in the house when the outdoor temps start to fall. I learned about this stuff from an exterminator. I sprinkle it aaround my founddation every couple of months and NO MORE NASTIES in my house. I highlt recommend!! Get the big bag and say goodbye to the bugs!

Zero results - completely ineffective
For many reasons that I won't list here, we have an extraordinary number of ants around our home, and I’m on ant duty year-round in our climate. We have a variety of ant species, except (thank goodness) for fire ants. This has become a personal mission that led me to learn a lot about ants and deterrents, especially nontoxic products and home remedies that will not harm our pets or wildlife. I bought the large bag of Niban granular bait and applied the product as directed to the letter. I’ve been patient and monitored the ants’ behavior, with the understanding that baits can take a long time to work, and ant activity often increases before seeing results. Weeks later, the product is clearly visible and has not been washed away by rain, yet we have more ants than ever. They appear to be attracted to it, as evidenced by the explosion of ants in the area, but they are not carrying the bait away or decreasing in number over time. They are literally walking right over it on their way to our home. Again, these are different varieties of black ants, all apparently disinterested in "taking the bait". This product has a 4.2-star average rating, so it must work for some users, but there are quite a few 1-star reviews by people for whom this bait did not work; perhaps there are differences in response based on species or region. For us, the search for an effective outdoor ant bait that won’t harm animals continues.
