Its a nice unit.
Worked as it should. Decent enough for looking into an engine cylinder. Snaps photos. Had a really long scope. Longer than what I need! Maybe I can use it for plumbing pipes one day. Great for the price.

Great tool for multiple purposes
I got this to use around the house to see in small spaces, but also for a project of mine. I've been monitoring bird nests as part of the nest watch project and thought that this endoscope would let me see into nest boxes without opening the box. This has worked well, although I'm still working on my "aiming" ability. The picture quality is excellent and I can easily snap photos or take videos onto a small SD card. This has made nest monitoring a lot less intrusive (at least I hope so). I know this is kind of a specific thing, but I think it highlights ways this endoscope can be used for many different purposes. Here are more details about using it. The unit comes with a long, flexible tube that ends in a tiny camera surrounded by lights. I can manage the intensity of the light through a small, marked wheel on the side of the monitor box. The camera tube is connected to the monitoring base unit via a USB connector. I did find that once or twice, the USB connector wasn't plugged in all the way and the monitoring unit reported that it couldn't connect to the camera, but pushing the USB connector back into place solved that, so it's not a problem, just something I check now before I use the unit. Ilike the fact that I can dial down the intensity of the light so easily. The base unit is very simple to operate and shows clearly what is visible through the camera It comes with a small micro SD card and all I had to do was to plug in the unit to a USB charger to charge it up. I've used it several times without having to recharge. The photos I've taken have been clear, so it does exactly what I wanted it to do. I've even been able to use velcro straps and strap the camera to a long piece of bamboo to hold the camera head up to see what was in a nest about 15 feet up in a tree. This little camera and monitoring unit is one of the most useful things I've purchased in a long time. It works well, takes clear photos/videos, and is super easy. Basically, when I turn it on and get the camera positioned, all I have to do is press the little OK button to take photos as it defaults to take photos. If I want a video, I just use the right arrow to point to the video camera icon and press okay to start/stop. Very easy. And besides my pet project, I've found it useful to look behind heavy furniture or under things to find stuff like presence or absence of dog toys so I don't have to move something heavy only to find the toy was not there anyway. It's a great timesaver. And very good for looking behind walls to see if there is any water damage or problems with wiring. Great tool.

Sent replacement, works good
UPDATE: The one I was initially sent was faulty so I had returned it. Several days after I returned it the manufacturer contacted me and offered to send a replacement free of charge to try out. I was told that these go through extensive quality control for certain types of malfunctions like what I was experiencing. The one I got must have slipped through. The new one arrived very quickly. I tested it out and it seems to work very good. Excellent customer service from this company. They really stand behind their products. Unfortunately the job I needed it for was already completed before I heard from them but I'm sure there will be another need for this in the future. Original Review: Stopped working after 1 short use. I turned it off momentarily to come back to the job but when I went to turn it back on it gave me a screen foll of lines and was inoperable. I left it off for about 10 minutes and it finally came back on but then once I had to turn it off it did the exact same thing but this time when it attempted to load the screen it flashed the load screen on and off and would not operate. Perhaps I got a bad unit. It seemed per the instructions that a memory card needed to be installed but it already was on the one I received so perhaps it was a resold return. not sure, but I wold avoid this one.

Good, but latency issue
I liked most things about this scope; the small camera head the coating on the coil looks like it will be more durable than others Iโve owned, the picture is good and allows focus at up to about 1/2 inch to infinity, I like that the brightness control is a easily accessible volume type wheel on the side, I like that an 8mb micro sd card is included, I like that it comes with a nice semi hard zippered case. What I donโt like is the latency of the video that can be very frustrating. If you use it to take a look and move on it might be ok because it is maybe only 1/2 a second but if you need to fix it in an area to use it like a mirror to see while working on something it is practically unusable due to the latency making it difficult to keep on target.

Excellent customer service and a great product overall
The best thing about this device is the fact that you donโt need an additional app to use it. Everything is in the box. I ordered this at the beginning of December for a Christmas gift. Took it out of the box and it would only work if it was plugged in. Took out the plug and fiddled with it a bit and still nothing. Bummer! But I saw in a previous review from someone else that customer service was great. So I also contacted customer service. I was asked to send pictures and explain the problem. Within hours I was told that there was a new one on the way! I didnโt need to send the defective one back - only wait for the new device to come. It was due on Saturday but it was delivered today, which is Thursday. I pulled it out of the box and it worked right away AND was fully charged! Overall I have to say it was a very good experience. The device itself is great. The picture quality is good, but the manual adjustments are outstanding! I think itโs definitely worth every dime. Please note that this isnโt heavy duty, so be careful with it. However the cable for the endoscope itself is extremely thick and sturdy. Again, this was an overall excellent experience. Not everything is perfect every time, but having great support is priceless. Definitely worth the purchase!

This is the one to get!
This little endoscope is awesome. Iโve had several scopes that attach in some way to your phone and those have been nice but this one is my new favorite. It is so nice to have a stand alone unit with its own display. Picture quality and lighting are superb even in pitch black conditions. The carrying case is sturdy and absolutely perfect to protect this unit and keep everything organized in a tool bag or tool box. Note: The tiny mirror that screws on to the end has a blue plastic film protective cover. Remove this before use or if you are like me youโll think the image is too blurry to see anything clearly! Pros: 1. Image quality and lighting are perfect even in pitch black or very bright environments. 2. The camera itself is very small in diameter so it can fit into spaces with ease. I didnโt test this but I think it would fit in a drinking straw. 3. The carrying case is very nice. Rigid but not a hard case with several compartments for the display, cable, and accessories. 4. It even came with an 8 gb memory card! 5. The cable is much more rigid but still flexible/bendable. The other ones I have had to be attached to a coat hanger to be pushed into a heating vent. This one can do it on its own. 6. It comes with a little mirror, magnet, and hook that screw on to the front of the camera. Anxious to try using these to retrieve things. Cons: I wish I had saved the money I spent on the other endoscopes and got this one the first time.

Pretty good borescope
It does what it's supposed to do. The image is pretty good, and the light is plenty bright enough to illuminate small spaces and the brightness level is adjustable via a switch on the side and via the menu and arrow keys. The cord is long enough to reach anywhere I need to go with it. It takes a little finagling to get it at just the right angle to see what you want to see; would be nice if there was a way to easily rotate it, as is it a bit cumbersome to maneuver the cam into just the right position, but it gets easier with practice. Cons: It came in a box, no hard case. Not a deal breaker, but it was advertised with a case so they should have sent it with a case.

Does the job okay.. But only for the right price
I've had this unit for almost two years now and have used it half a dozen times. Price has increased significantly since purchase so I definitely wouldn't get it again for this money. Here's my take: Pros * Decent picture and display. Clear enough for live viewing * Captures video at up to 1080p * Simple, well-packaged: accessories, memory card, good case, lengthy cable * Battery lasts long enough for most jobs * Zoom and rotate modes Cons * Saved pictures appear very lossy compared to live viewing or videos * No way to set the time and date. Files incorrectly timestamped * Firmware does not appear to be updatable This unit will suffice for most jobs and would acceptable if you get it at a decent price, otherwise I suspect there are better options out there

Poor Battery Life
I just received the camera and after fully charging the battery, I was playing around trying to get familiar with it. I noticed after about 10 min of use, 25% of the battery had been depleted. It took about 4 hrs to charge out of the box, so I think the batter might be faulty. The construction of the hand held control is very cheap plastic, if you drop it, consider it broken. Not rugged at all. With that being said, the picture is clear and great resolution (when on highest resolution). This unit is not very expensive,so your getting what you pay for.
