Love this product, when I skip a meal this is my substitute.

My mother loves these. First she likes that they are in bottles and not the snap tops (flip top). The vitamins in these seem to keep her energized and able to get things done around the house at 80+ years of age. I can tell when she has had them-- she is washing and folding clothes and from one thing to the next. She calls them her body building drink and has told her other older friends about it and now they are trying it. I have tried them too and they are good and vitamin filled for energy and alertness. BEWARE-- they contain, I believe 200+ calories per bottle. That may be a lot for some people. Mom likes them so much, she sometimes have two a day! Watch the sugar contents in some of the versions of the Ensure products too. All in all, this one is pretty good as far as taste too. These have the taste of a vanilla milkshake and best when very cold. You can freeze them for a real milkshake taste and let thaw. These are good morning or noon. I do not advise at night because they may keep you awake due to the high vitamin content and give energy when you want to sleep instead.

My Doctor recommended I start using Ensure for nutrition! I am using a blood thinner to lessen the risk of a stroke and on a special diet. I was not getting enough nutrients on my diet so she recommended that I start drinking Ensure but that I not drink more than 2 or 3 a week or it would throw off my blood thinners effectiveness. Following her plan I found myself feeling more energetic and comfortable than I had in some time. There are 4 flavors available, Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry and clear ( seems like a sort of fruit flavour). I have tried all the flavors and they are all excellent! Price was much better than at grocery stores or pharmacies.

I always thought that ensures were for sick and old people but I was definitely wrong. I'm 23 and I keep these on the shelf for the days when I'm too busy to cook. I wouldn't live off of these but 1 out of 3 meals doesn't hurt. I think it's way more nutritious than getting fast food and it the taste is far better than I originally expected. Also, it's nice to have on hand when you are sick. I drink it when I have a sore throat as solid foods take forever to swallow (and it hurts too!).

I wouldn't have believed this if I hadn't seen it: When I opened the outer shipping box from Amazon, there were a few little black ants running around. I didn't worry too much, but when I opened the actual Ensure box, Dozens of little black ants came pouring out. I put the box outside, started removing the bottles, & trying to wash the ants off. There were so many tho that I had to pour all the bottles out, & start spraying Raid. I'm lucky I opened the box right away, I shudder to think if I'd have kept the box inside my house for a couple of weeks before opening. For the actual Ensure, I give 4 stars, been drinking it for years. And I don't want to bash it too much for what I assume is an aberration, just saying, open the 16 bottle box right when you get it, & check it out. (Probably the oddest review of a product I've ever given)!

watery concoction; big change in product over last 12 months. Makes me wonder if health benefits have been downgraded also..

At the end of October last year, I found that needed chemotherapy. My protocol is 3 medications - 1 self administered injection weekly and 6 capsules daily. A side effect of the treatment is loss of appetite and severe daily nausea. One of my friends suggested taking the medications using the Ensure. I was skeptical but took the advice. I figured it Could't make my situation worse. It made a tremendous, reducing the severe nausea, especially immediately after getting the meds down. I am still have nausea, but the Ensure helps. I still have another 3 months of treatment and I will continue using the Ensure to take my meds and help me maintain a healthy weigh I cannot eat. I have tried 3 flavored and I swear by the vanilla. The only downside using Ensure is the cost. At $20 a box and with me unable to work, it chews up any monies I have. (Example; $500 for May June when drinking 3-6 bottles daily) I am really happy I started using the Ensure. Had I not, I am not so sure I would continue the chemotherapy because of the daily nausea. good supplement drink. tastes pretty good and cheaper than most alternatives. have to shake it a lot before drinking or it is kind of chalky. vanilla flavor is the best.
