As a yoga teacher and young woman, All Along You Were Blooming felt like a deep breath for my heart. Morgan Harper Nichols has a way of putting words to emotions I didn’t even realize I was carrying. I’ve turned to its pages after long days, during moments of grief-based reflection, and even as inspiration in my yoga classes. A beautiful reminder that we are always in bloom, exactly as we are. (It also happens to be one of the most beautifully illustrated books I've come across lately).

I bought this as a gift for my friend who loves poetry. She commented that she finished this book very quickly because she loved it so much. She said she would recommend it to anyone even if they are not someone who typically enjoys poetry. When I received the book initially, I couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised at the quality of the material of the book to include the pages and the cover. I am considering ordering myself one.

I haven’t even read the full book yet and I know for a fact this is 5 stars. If I could give it more, I would. Every single page is full of gorgeous art work with beautiful words to touch your heart. If you’re considering this book, GET IT. Seriously (also would be a perfect gift too). I have a full 5 shelf bookcase and this is easily my favorite book now, based on the beauty, uniqueness, and wise words. The pictures I put are just 3 random pages I picked (probably not even the best pages out of the book) just to give you an idea.

Beautiful thoughts, lovely poems! But some of the poems are printed in such small print, my old eyes can’t read them well - even with my strongest reading glasses. Other poems are printed larger.

If you’re a mom, this is your book. It’s so beautiful, complete soul food! That that seems even a shallow statement for how much this book means to me. Maybe a life raft in the storm? A shoulder to cry on in your darkest day? Being seen and held and lifted up right where you are in life. I’ve resolved to give this book at every baby shower. It’s that woman’s journey and all those changes, struggles, triumphs! But it’s good for all women as I think, motherhood was just my journey when it helped me but it covers so much of the woman’s experience. Literally cannot recommend enough!!

I have bought about 7 of Morgan Harper Nichols "All along You Were Blooming" since the book came out. They make wonderful gifts. These poems are heartfelt and relatable for people who need a little bit of hope in their lives. It's an aesthetically pleasing book and beautifully written as well! Share this book....
