Best Ice Wrap Line I've Ever Seen
I bought this as a gift for a friend who was really suffering after her foot surgery. She was following directions to ice her foot frequently, but she was holding a non-malleable brick-style icepack to her foot, so the contact it made with the affected area was minimal. My coworker got one of these for his ailing foot on my recommendation, and he loves it. My good friend loved this gift, too, and says it helped a ton. She has regular or perhaps even small feet, but I got her the XL to accommodate all the bandaging on said foot. The bandages are off and she still uses this regularly, but she doesn't walk on it while she's icing it. This is great for more configurations than you see in the photo. The ice repositions itself wherever you would like inside, or it comes out completely. They're very flexible despite having a basic flat shape, and really work on any body part we've needed it on. I personally have the activewrap wrist pack, and have used it on my neck, head, and back in addition to my wrist. They're really just fantastically adaptable, and again: the surface contact it makes and infinite configurations you can put it into make it the best wrap I've ever used or seen. I also purchased the wrist one for my physical therapist, as she wrists often hurt from working on people all day, and she loves hers, too. One warning: this is COLD. This is TOO cold. I had to get fingerless gloves to wear with mine, and my good friend uses a terrycloth tea towel for hers. It is MUCH to cold to us with only a thin liner, and will ice burn (or freeze) your skin. If you need something you can keep on your skin for longer and/or fall asleep with, get a Bed Buddy (or a knock-off; they're all the same and there are hand made ones on etsy) instead. I'd also be careful giving this to children, as even my fellow adults are prone to do foolish things with it. Half of my office has borrowed this from me, and then purchased their own later. I recommend the whole line. No, I'm not a shill - this is just that good.

My new favorite ankle wrap
This is my second review for the ActiveWrap as I did one for the knee wrap, which I also like. I've got a few icing solutions/wraps for various body parts. This is my new favorite for ankle. Right now, I've got multiple fractures in my leg. One of them is outside ankle. Icing helps me a lot and when I take off the aircast, it's mostly just to ice down. This thing stays on securely and gives me the right amount of cold, (which I can adjust if I need to), right where I need it. Someone else pointed out there's a hole in the back where the heel is and they didn't like that. I do like it because it gives me a perfect fit and make it easy to see how to put on. If there's some reason you need ice right on your actual heel, this might not be the right product. But for everywhere else, it's great. One thing to watch for putting it on is make sure the bottom strap covers all the hook/loop fasteners. Otherwise if you go across carpet you can stick a bit; which isn't a bit deal, but if on crutches, any little annoyance like that can actually be a maybe problem. (Though yeah, maybe you shouldn't be hobbling around with this thing anyway.) Bottom line: This is my now favorite way to deal with ankle/knee icing. I find the cold therapy more effective for pain management than pain meds even. One other thing to consider if right on the edge of the sizing of the product is that too big can maybe be wrapped more, but too small won't work. Also, swelling means your parts might be somewhat bigger than you think. Maybe for most people sizing is easy, but it seems I'm exactly average or something so it took me a return or two to get it right and it ended up larger worked. That's gong to be personal obviously. Whatever. Love this product. It's helping me with some non-trivial pain issues.

Ankle wrap is great! Not a big fan of the new gel packs
This is the second ActiveWrap Ankle/Foot brace I have purchased. I bought the first one in May 2008 after I suffered a slightly torn achilles tendon and I have used the brace numerous times over the years for achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and sprained ankles. After years of use, the brace was looking knarly because of all the fraying. So I decided to buy another one. The quality of the brace was just as good of the first one:) They redesigned the nylon sleeve; the sleeves have two pockets which allows you to control how close the gel packs are to the skin which is a nice touch. They also redesigned the gel pack and I'm not a fan. They do not get as cold as the gel packs that came with the brace I purchased in 2008 and they lose what coldness they have very quickly. Fortunately, I do have the original gel packs.

Very useful!
Great product! The ice packets can be moved within the wrap to keep the ice packets right where you need them.

Durable quality that does the job
The ActiveWrap Foot and Ankle Wrap is a perfect product It is a high quality product that does the job of reducing inflammation for my swollen ankle bone. Wished I had this for the many injuries that went back to my high school years in sports. After reading many reviews I knew this was the best company for me. This wraps around the entire area and will help reduce the swelling faster than disposable ice packs. It is more cost effective in the long run and does a much more superior job of "icing". I screamed the first time using it because the ice packs were soooo cold. It is actually the same coldness when my physical therapist applied his "ice" during therapy. It was cold enough until time to remove it. Now I cheat and just give it a few minutes to warm up before wrapping.

The REAL "Rap" On This Product!!
I was initially impressed by the number of favorable reviews on this "ActiveWrap" foot & ankle wrap-so much so, that I regretfully, purchased it to provide ice therapy for a running-related extensor tendonitis injury. For $37.95, I was disappointed. You get a velcro and nylon outer cover holding two small gel packs in two thin pouches to your foot/ankle for a 15-minute ice window...NOTHING MORE! I thoroughly tested this product and believe it is exorbitantly overpriced. Advice: Visit your local Wal-Mart, CVS or supermarket and buy two flexible gel packs for less than $3 each. Put them in the freezer for 1 hour and ice your feet/ankle using heavy-duty rubber bands to hold the pack(s) in place. It works beautifully and will not break the bank-Then, do your wallet a favor and pocket the $31.95. PROS: 1. Maintains freezer temperature for at least 12 minutes of the recommended 15 minute ice cycle. 2. Can be used for heat therapy according to the manufacturer's claim. 2. Relatively easy to use-not rocket science. 3. Convenient placement on affected area being treated. 4. Designed to ice while moving. 5. "Attractive" outer jacket cover ( Important only if you're going out on a hot date with it and want to pimp out your ankle with a Gucci ice wrap)!! CONS: 1. An absolute rip-off for $37.95, providing about $6 worth of icing. Designed for folks who enjoy hemorrhaging their disposable income. 2. The Heat Therapy feature needs to go back to the drawing board-used as directed, it can be a safety hazard attempting to calculate safe heating intervals of the pack, and in attempting to remove the pack from the microwave since microwave wattage varies both between and within manufacturers and models. Do not consider this for heat therapy applications-There are better, less expensive and safer alternatives available. "Hybrid" products of this nature still tend to be problematic. 3. The "icing while moving" feature is counter-intuitive....the goal of icing is to reduce swelling while resting. Remember.."RICE": Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation! 4. Replacement ice packs are proprietary in size-Must purchase for this product. 5. Ice packs must each be placed inside its pouch (provided) in order to be used and must be removed from these pouches before placing back in the freezer each time. It is awkward to place the ice packs in the covers each time you need to ice. 6. Ice pack covers are flimsy and the stitching can and does rip easily when inserting a cold ice pack, making the product useless. Unnecessary and more trouble than it's worth. 7. Made in China. This product should sell for no more than $19.95.

Feels great
Ordered for my husband who is a painter. He has painted houses for over 30 years. The walking, carrying all the equipment and climbing ladders has taken a toll on ankles. They ache at the end of the day. He says these make them feel so much better. He puts the wraps on and props his feet up. He says the aching goes away. The product is comfortable. He's only used them a few nights, but he says they feel great.

Great Product for Therapy of Injured Foot / Ankle
Very good value. Very good product. Exceeded my expectations. Good coverage of soft tissues around foot and ankle. I had a pretty bad foot 'roll over' injury so there was lot of surface area involved. The cold packs laid right on top of what hurt. The gel-like, soft texture of the cold packs is one of several things that make this a really good product. Velcro straps are heavy duty and strong. Ice pack sleeves have Velcro patches that hold the two cold packs in place inside the wrap. Very convenient design for removing and re-inserting the packs. Very stable. It will stay on your foot when you crutch around and when resting. Largest size was perfect for my foot (typ.a Men's size 10-1/2). [Of course you can essentially forget about normal shoe size if your foot is swollen to twice its normal size - as was my case]. Good investment for rehab / therapy. Highly recommended.

Great Wrap for Ankles
I play a lot of basketball and volleyball. Tweaking my ankle is pretty much a given at this point. This wrap greatly helps with my recovery.

Easy to use
After years of icing ankles - finally an easy way to do it. Ice packs easily slip in and out this is great

You might want to go a size up if you have wide feet
I really like this ankle wrap and use it a lot. I fractured my ankle and ruptured all the ligaments, and spent months unable to use that foot. Now that I'm in the process of rebuilding strength and flexibility, I've been using this ankle wrap at the end of almost every day, and during the day when pain and swelling require it. The only thing that's a little disappointing is that, though I ordered the correct size for my shoe size, it's a little too tight and I sometimes have a bit of trouble closing it. I have an extra-wide foot, though. I can only order certain brands of shoes that come in extra-wide widths. So, if you are in the same situation, you may want to order a size up.

Good product .
It is for my mother . So far she like it.

Ice packs are useless
Wrap sized correctly but the cooling packs that come with it do not last long at all. I end up using a different ice pack but have the wrap hold it in place.
