Why use paste? For the flecks to be seen? Thanks.** A: I disagree. The paste has more vanilla flavor. Extract has more alcohol flavor. I exclusively use this vanilla bean paste and I love the flavor it adds to all my baked goods. **Q: Not being familiar with vanilla bean paste, is this a liquid or paste texture? Also, is it measured the same as regular vanilla when using in recipes?** A: It is a little runnier than a true paste, a bit thicker than honey. I love it. It gives a much more pronounced vanilla flavor. It is fantastic in cookies. It does have a bit of sugar in it but just tons of true vanilla beans. I use the same measurement, sometimes adding even more just because I love vanilla. I always have this in my pantry. **Q: Vanilla as ingredients 3 & 4?
