Not a half bad set
just got these in today, and I've already got one extremely good pro with these, that not alot of Bluetooth "makers" do when it comes to their products. The first thing ill point out, and by far my favorite feature thus far, is the fact that while these charge u CAN use them still. I've had several BT headsets, and headphones where while it's charging you CANNOT use it, at all. Secondly, being a HUGE music buff, i need good sound. I don't have a full range sound system in my car for no reason. The sound quality of these, listening to more metal/black metal/rock/punk styles of music, is exceptional. It's not horrible, of course its not the best out there, but for the price its not bad at all. It doesn't hit the extreme lows of say some rap/dub but there is still a presence of some moderate level bass. The mid-high range is decent, it does get slightly "scratchy" at extreme volumes but its not horrible. Last thing ill touch on is pairing. It paired quick and easy with my phone, samsung solstice. I did have a slight issue pairing it to my BT dongle on my comp but i realized i didn't have the "official" driver installed for it, which shouldn't have been a issue but it was. Found the disk for it and it paired with no issues, its a SMK-LINK VP6493. As of now there are no issues with this device. I've only given it 4 stars for now to leave, room, for any "early judgement" on the device. I got this more or less for flights as I've been traveling a lot lately. I will update this within the next couple weeks to let you guys know how it does traveling/while working. Edit - 9/24/2012 one thing i forgot to touch on, was how comfortable this was. At first it did seem a little small. it was a little annoying getting my hair around it. However after it was on it wasn't all that uncomfortable. A tad small but it fits and it doesn't "squeeze", and it doesn't yank on my ears. There is a video review for this item that touches on how comfortable this product is and he hits the nail on the head as some would say. edit - 10/13/2012 after a couple weeks, these headphones are still rolling, in most cases they outlast my phone *Samsung solstice* when I'm listening to music. call quality is good, I've only had a few instances where the other person couldn't hear me but I'm not positive if it was the headset as the phones the company i work for use suck, horribly. i use them daily while at work and home, the distance around the house is about 15-20 feet going through 1 or 2 walls, i know of 1 wall in the house that is a solid block wall and any connection *even my routers going through that wall directly to the other side* has issues with thick walls. I've also been on 3 flights with them and had no issues. occasionally however when at work it will cut out for a split second but its nothing to major. I've upped this to 5 stars for now, will keep you guys updated as to full longevity of them in a single use.

I tried to kill the battery but it WON'T DIE; got a second pair for round 2 of the audio-fight
UPDATE 6-15-2013: After using these headphones for many many months, I am still very pleased with them overall, EXCEPT for one thing: if I have my phone in my LEFT front pants pocket, then there are certain angles at which I tilt my head that cause the reception to drop momentarily. This does not occur when the phone is in my right front pants pocket. Just to be clear: I do not have an adamantium skeleton like Wolverine, so I can't imagine that my admittedly lanky frame should block the bluetooth signal, but it does. This aside, I use these at my work desk almost every time I receive a call; I turn them on as my phone rings and by the time I answer the call they are up and operative, or at least in the first few seconds of the call. Still highly recommended. --------------------------- I am super impressed with these BT headphones and would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a non-wired solution to listen to music and make calls with ease. They have a nice, solid sound, nothing to sneer at for sure. The instructions say to go through three full charge/discharge cycles on first use to give the battery the longest life... but after literally a full day and half of playing music on these from my iPhone the battery is still going. I even left them on overnight! That included a phone call for over an hour with my dad, who said he could hear me very well with no problems. I only ever had to repeat one word in the whole conversation, but the word was "Sizzler" and without context that's a weird word to hear correctly anyway. Just say "Sizzler" randomly to your neighbor out of the blue: see what I mean? --------------------------- GOOD (or better than good): Price - great quality and features for thirty bucks. Just got a second pair for my wife (shhhh it's for Christmas) for $20 on sale (if you can find this price GET THEM NOW). Audio quality - not audiophile of course, but actually quite good for extended music listening--all frequencies are quite clear and balanced, and I enjoyed my Mozart as much as my Skrillex (yeah, and?); the mic did a great job picking up my voice, both for phone calls and using Siri for voice commands, even if she refuses to comply. Also it is worth noting that these do let in sound from the environment, which I consider a plus, because I have to be able to act like I'm listening to my wife when she talks to me. I was able to listen to my music at a reasonable volume and carry on a conversation at the same time. Battery - maybe it's infinite? In any case, they are STILL going after at least 18+ hours. They say 8 hours of talk time, but with just playing music it may last much longer. I think some of this battery life has to do with a nice built-in algorithm that shuts off the speakers when no sound is being transmitted from the phone/wherever. I noticed that when not playing music but playing Words with Friends, that I could hear a very very subtle turning on and off of the speakers just before and after I would place a tile. I was impressed at how quickly this happened so that the beginning of the sound wasn't clipped off. A nice, subtle touch. Foldy-bits - they have hinges so they can fold up, and come with a svelte drawstring bag (yes, I said svelte; you will too when you feel it for yourself. Practice now: "svelte!" goooood.) ------------------------------------------- NOT QUITE AS GOOD (but definitely not bad): Fit - my only gripe is the way the plastic piece fits over my ears and around my neck; there is some SLIGHT discomfort just above and behind my ears where the greatest pressure is (there is no padding anywhere except on the ear cups). It is noticeable but obviously not very bad because I wore them literally all day long without really caring. I found that depending up on how you tilt them on your head makes a difference in the fit; you can have the part on your neck be either low on your neck (even touching), or raised up higher, so there is a LITTLE bit of room for adjustment. Construction - two very minor issues: 1) when using any of the five buttons on the right earpiece I hear a distinctive "click" noise, but whatever, it's got a nice tactile response so I know I hit the button. 2) when talking/moving my jaw (hey, I wore them all day, including during lunch), my ears move slightly against the ear cups, which produces a very slight crackle sound from the friction. I actually didn't notice it at all when talking on the phone, but if I care to notice I can. This minor noise can be attenuated by adjusting the positioning of the ear cups just a little bit one way or the other. Built-in flood light - okay, so while on, the right ear cup (just inside the silver buttons in the image) has a blue light that is about as bright as the sun, or maybe not the sun, but it is probably brighter than you want. I HAVE YOUR SOLUTION: cut a tiny arc from some black electrical tape to fit over the light. This works great because the light is embedded in a little translucent ring that is just inside the buttons, which still picks up the blue light from the LED so you can see that it is working, but which distributes the light in a much softer and more even way that won't annoy whomever has the fortune to sit directly to your right. Shape - the ear cups are just about an inch thick (but very light), so they stick out from your ears by, well, one inch. This makes you look funny, if you didn't already look funny. ------------ CONCLUSION: Follow the golden rule, take time to relax and be creative, and always accept cookies from your mother. Also, BUY THESE HEADPHONES, because they are pretty amazing and will change your life, or at least make you pleasantly happy (can you be unpleasantly happy?) while you use them.

Price is Amazing for the Quality
Bought these for my 10-year-old son and he really enjoys them. I am surprised at the quality for the price. I am no snickering audiophile, but the sound is pretty good to me. The headphones even have a microphone to allow for taking and making phonecalls over bluetooth. Battery life seems to be close to the 10 hours stated. Probably the only complaint is that the volume is not extremely loud, and yet sounds does find a way to seem outside the headset somehow. So don't jack up the volume in your local library as you may disturb others. I like these so much, I may order some for myself. UPDATE: I bought a pair for myself and now have used them daily for three weeks. My main issues is that for some reason using this headset to watch Netflix results in the audio and video being slightly out of sync. On my Asus Infinity tablet, I hear the words slightly before I see the actor's mouth move. I do not know if this is a Netflix issue or an issue with the headphones. I do know that it happens on 3 different devices. Other than that I love almost everything about these headphones. They are easy to pair with any device, compact, comfortably, and loud. The audio quality when playing music is so-so. Base does make them crackle at higher volume settings. These definitely aren't for picky audiophiles. But movies and TV shows sound great. Basically any regular person who wants a quality pair of bluetooth headphones to take to the gym or throw in a computer case will love these. My only other small minor gripe is the fact that the headphones do not come with a charger and the provided USB charging cable is not of the mainstream variety (it's slightly smaller). So you won't be able to plug your charger from say your Samsung Galaxy S III into these. You have to either find a computer USB port or hopefully your phone charger USB cable detaches from the charging base/box so you can plug the headphone charging cable into that. It's a chore. I would have gladly paid an extra $5 to have a bonafide charger included. Other than that, expect good things from these headphones.

Keeping it real review
Okay for starters I was looking for a Bluetooth headset that I could use at the gym, and ehh basically whenever I needed one. I did quite a bit of research, and then saw the decent reviews on this set. I figured it would be a good entry level device to establish my wants for such a set, and if it totally sucked I'd only be out $30. I'll start this review with the goods, and then move to the bads. GOODS: Range: One of the most important things to me was reception. I didn't want something that would break up or act crazy if I was using this thing and put my phone in my pocket or otherwise. This guy is a beast at range. I am currently streaming Pandora on my PC, and to test the range I walked outside my second floor apartment, and went down to my truck in the parking lot (easily 60 feet away). I expected it to break up about half way, but it stayed crystal till I reached my vehicle. 60 ft. meets my needs fine. Bluetooth Pairing: It is cake. I don't know what else to say. If you can figure out how to order this headset online, you can figure out how to pair it. So far I've only paired it with my Droid phone, and PC (Windows 7), but it pairs like anything else. There is a multifunction button that you hold down while the host device is searching, and Bam, it pairs. One thing to note is that it will only pair with one device at a time, but really? Big deal. Volume and Sound Quality: I had to put this in the Pros category. This set gets as loud as I would want 90% of the time. Matter of fact, I've had to turn it down a few times. One thing that helps it out is the fact that it blocks out quite a bit of outside noise... I mean really. Now for actual sound quality. The quality I have found has been at the least pleasing. Don't expect these guys to sound like a $300 cord headset because they don't, but if your just a regular person that wants to jam while they work out, these are more than enough. I was gonna make a separate category for call quality but I'll mention it here. During calls I was afraid that either I wouldn't be able to hear, or the other person wouldn't be able to hear me. Nope, phone calls are actually quite good. During my first call, I asked the other person, "Can you hear me ok?," they replied "Yes Sir, I can hear you perfectly." Nuff said. Comfort: This set is comfortable enough. To be honest I feel like I could likely wear them all day and feel no discomfort. The portion that goes around the back of your neck will grab a high collar jacket and such, but its no big deal. While laying down to bench press or crunch, it is no issue whatsoever. There is really no pinching, or discomfort otherwise, so yeah, good. Oh yeah, on a side note, I generally run quite a ways after my workout and I cant imagine sweat ever being an issue with these. Now the Bad: Appearance: I will not lie. These things protrude quite a ways from the sides of your ears. I mean yeah, a ways. If you are looking for a set that will make you look supercool, these won't. Personally, I don't care what I look like while 'getting my swole on' so whatever. A Strange Rattle: I was running the other day and noticed between songs a strange rattle sound (only audible between songs). I couldn't wait till the run was over to investigate. After I had finished running I found that the rattle was from the Navigation controls that have Skip, Volume, etc. Honestly now that I know where the rattle comes from, I don't much mind it. It is only noticeable while between music selections so... whatever. Summary: If you are looking for a Bluetooth headset that will deliver the goods without breaking the bank, I would start here. Thanks for reading.

Not bad for the price
Ok...well..I have had these for less than a year...maybe half a year if not a little more. Ok, for the price, you can't beat these! First I'm gonna say...last night...they finally died on me. They were fully charged, I was listening to them at the gym...heard a beep..and no more! Went to charge them, thinking it was that. Fully charged...turned them back on...iphone couldn't find them. They officially are dead! RIP cheap but decent headphones! lol Pro: Cheap - Pretty decent sound - Pretty good battery life - Pretty good distance (When working out, sometimes I'd lay my iphone down on the ground. I could go 5-7 feet to grab another weight, and they'd still do great!) Cons: (Keep in mind...most of my comments are from working out. Sorry if this is annoying!) - Anyways...weird..but things like Leg Press..don't know if it's the angle or what. But they are super crap when doing that exercise. Which makes no sense...because they are closer to the phone! Oh yeah...my phone is always in my pocket. - Also while in my pocket...walking my dog. It's HORRIBLE while doing that. Don't know if it's because of the light swinging of my phone in my pocket or what...but music cuts in and out constantly while doing that. I always have to end up just holding my phone steady. - Noise cancellation...yes this is petty...and really not a big deal. Just thought I'd mention it. Like I said about last night when they finally died on me. I honestly never noticed this until I had to switch back to my old headphones. Again...this is petty! lol Soooo..I was washing my hands after my workout, and went to the hand dryer. Usually with these, I have to hit pause because I can't hear them with the dryer on. Anyways...noticed with my other headphones last night (cheap samsung headphones with mic) that I could hear crystal clear, even with the dryer on! Sooooo..long story short, the noise cancellation isn't that great. Ok...well...honestly, that's really all the cons! For the price, you can't beat them! Just a shame they died on me after only about 6 months or so. I really think I'll fork out a extra 10-20 bucks for some name brand this time around.

Good Product and Outstanding Battery Life
I ordered and received these in early 2013 and was duly impressed by the design and sound qualities. I did not use them extensively but what I did experience was top notch value for the price. The BTH220 paired rapidly with a Samsung Galaxy GT-N7000 Note and exhibited quality sound and outstanding battery life. I used them over a period of two + weeks fully expecting the battery to need charging each time but they "kept going" for a rough estimate of more than fifteen hours! Four or five months later, after minimal use, I notice the headphones would not charge. Assuming a battery failure only, I contacted Support and the reply was that the original product had a technical problem and after providing a proof of Amazon purchase a complete, unopened replacement was received three days later. 04/20/18 A follow up after six years of hard use: These, for me at least, have to be one of the least expensive but absolutely best products I have ever purchased! For approximately eighteen months I have been using them paired with the Amazon Echo Dot. One can put them around the neck and they are so unobtrusive and comfortable that unless in use it is very easy to forget they are there! I even have slept many nights with them in place on the ears and usually over the years something usually breaks on any other headset which I have attempted to do the same. They are just flexible enough and so well engineered and constructed that they just "keep going!" The thin vinyl covering over the earmuffs has worn away but they are completely usable; besides I still have the parts available from the above mentioned immediately replaced originals. The battery life is somewhat reduced which is to be expected after so many charge cycles but I easily still maintain 10-12 hours on one charge! I am nearly 75 of age but am blessed to still be able to pass with no problems the same hearing test as from fifty years ago; I am no audiophile but these sound as good if not better than anything I have ever used...

The decision is in...
For $30 bluetooth headphones (cans), I understand that I'm paying for convenience - not measurably outstanding sound quality. Most folks will be pleased with the highs and lows, though some will doubtlessly want more of both. The internal amplifier is sufficient for all but material with the lowest signal strength, so unless one is intent on damaging one's ears, no problems there. The circumference of my head is a standard deviation or so below median. As such, the cans fit me wonderfully, though I'd urge those with larger noggins to consider trying them, if possible, at a store prior to buying. They are not in ear, or around ("enveloping") ear: they are over ear. As such, they allow a bit more air flow, and a bit more intrusion of external sounds. Keep that in mind. Also, the material on the surrounds - the soft portions in contact with your ears - is very thin and will likely not react too well to sweat over an extended period of time. Pairing the unit with several devices was efficient. The problems I've had with these units thus far, and the reason that - after a week's use - I can only give them three stars - are twofold: charging and shoddy workmanship. My instruction set (printed on heavy paper and meticulously folded) affirms that charging status will be indicated by a red LED (when discharged or charging) which will turn to blue once charged. However, even after moderately heavy use, the red indicator will only illuminate for between 1 - 3 minutes once connected to a charger (either directly into a USB port or into a polarity & voltage matched converter into the wall) before winking out. I don't know if it's charging completely or not, but there's no warmth, no LED: nothing to indicate that charge is happening/complete. So far, my use hasn't completely killed the battery (the company recommends three full discharge/charge cycles for best battery life), so I cannot be sure to what extent the unit might or might not be charging. Since I have been using the cans, it suggests they are charging - but without any notifications, I'm flying blind... Further, the units could be a little better put together. I'm not looking for hand spun wiring and wood accents: I'm talking about a USB cover that (ghaw!) actually closes and a four-way multi-directional ring (used for adjusting volume and track) on the right ear that doesn't slide and make noise whenever my head tilts. The cover, while not likely to cause rapid deterioration of the internal bits, nevertheless should be functional over the device's lifetime to protect uninsulated areas from detritus. And while the clinking noise of the adjustment ring isn't noticeable while biking or running due to the cans' permeability to external environmental noise, it's quite irritating when using them with home devices. If any of these characteristics change, I will update this post. --- After about two weeks' use my decision is in: the rattling is worse and the charging status remains a mystery. Listening time is quite mixed, as well: sometimes many hours, and occasionally a few. Also, I noticed that short reviews with problems have garnered a response from the company; mine didn't. It seems like many folks enjoy these and have adequate units. I didn't, and thus won't recommend them to any friends seeking a similar product.

Pretty darned good headset
When a product has this many reviews, adding one more to the list seems kind of redundant. But the product is good enough that I think it should be commented on. And, you know what's interesting, I NEVER see these headsets in shops and stores, and the 'unknown-ness' of the brand would make me assume they were a junk brand if I did see them in a shop. It is only because of the high reviews here on Amazon that I would have considered buying them at all. Thanks Amazon, Thanks Kinivo! The sound of these headphones is pretty good for something that costs less than $30 US. Audiophiles will not likely want them for serious listening, but for casual listening, they work fine for me. The fit is comfortable and secure. By way of reference, my head is not that large. I like them because they are not ear buds, which I find uncomfortable after about 15 minutes of wear. The earphones rest on outside of your ear and have what appear to be leather (or high quality plastic fake leather, I can't tell) cushions that only partially insulate outside sounds from you. This, I like, since I hate the feeling of complete isolation that some headphones promote. The slightly loose seating of the ear cushions offer a benefit in that my ears do not feel 'sweaty' after about an hour of wear. In spite of the 'loose' seat of the ear cushions, they stay centered on the ear canal for me. The 'back of the neck' style means the earphones hang from the piece that wraps around your head, so they don't move much from your body movement. I have wire rim eyeglasses and the earpieces of the eyeglass frames do not interfere with the fit of the headphones. I think this is a comfortable headset to wear, but a person with a big head might want look elsewhere in that there are no extensions to the headset frame to accommodate larger heads In my opinion, construction quality is better than some of the reviews here might indicate. They seem reasonably well constructed to me. The only potential point of failure would seem to be the locking hinges where the headset folds up to fit in the smallish carrying bag. The hinges lock in place via friction, and I suspect someone who folds and unfolds these a lot might run the risk of wearing out that little plastic tab that prevents the headphones from collapsing when you don't want them to fold. The hinge itself is also plastic, but seems reasonably sturdy. I like that it folds and fits into the smallish carrying bag, though I doubt I will use that feature much. The headset also comes with a USB charging cable that you can plug into any USB charging port on your computer or (I assume - haven't tried) one of those wall chargers that accept USB cables. The charging input socket on the headset is the mini USB port (not the newer, smaller Micro). That seems standard on headsets, I don't know why. It connected with my Droid Bionic Phone quite readily. I made a phone call to my son to test it out. The audio at both ends seem pretty good. The microphone is implanted in the right earphone and in spite of the distance from the user's mouth. volume and quality of the microphone seem adequate. It also sounds pretty good when playing music on my phone via Pandora. I look forward to using this headset at the gym. I also connected to my HP Omni 720 All-in-one PC with built in bluetooth (Win7) with no problems. Again, the sound is acceptable for casual listening to music. I also tried to watch Battlestar Galactica on Netflix on the PC, and here, I felt I encountered the first negative issue. The sound of voices do not synch perfectly with the movement of people's lips. It isn't so bad that it is a major problem, the synchronicity is ALMOST right, but the problem is there. I also have a Creative D80 bluetooth speaker system and that doesn't have as bad a lip synch issue as the headset does (though it isn't perfect either), so there probably is some processing speed issue in these headsets that isn't common to ALL bluetooth devices. I don't think the problem is serious enough for me to downgrade the headsets but does prevent a 4 star device from being a 5 star device in my mind. I haven't formally tested the distance at which the phones will work, but the distance from the PC to the bathroom is about 25 feet, and I could hear the sound just fine in the bathroom! All in all, I consider this headset device to be about perfect for my intended purpose of listening to music while exercising at the gym. I consider them to be OK or adequate for my secondary goal of watching video without disturbing others. I don't find them inadequate in any way. I feel I've gotten my money's worth.
