Total Effects Tone Correcting Face Moisturizer with Sunscreen SPF 15, Light to Medium 1.7 Ounces

I love this for my aging skin. It is light weight so it doesn't feel cakey, but gives surprisingly great coverage. It's perfect for both by itself on no makeup days, as well as under a powder foundation. Also it lasts a while as you only need a small amount for your whole face.

When you open the bottle and start to use it, the first few pumps are kind of anemic - literally! Lighter than usual, a little oilier-feeling than usual. But I had read other reviews that insisted that after about 5-6 pumps, it got better, so I persisted. They were right! Within a week, the one-pump amount in my hand was the perfect shade and had a smooth, creamy texture. I pump some onto my palm and use a finger of my other hand to sort of mix it around before putting it on my face. I don't like applying it with a sponge, as some have suggested - I use my middle and ring fingers to spread it on. I rub it in gently, like I would moisturizer, rather than patting it on, like I would with foundation, and have been pleased with the results. If you follow it up with a heavier powder (like a mineral powder), it makes your skin looks flawless, but if you don't spread the Olay product around evenly, then the powder can look cakey. I've moved to a translucent powder, and that enhances the Olay cream's effects without looking too made-up. Okay, so it's pretty good as a foundation. It doesn't hide every spot or every line unless you really slather it on. BUT...in two weeks, my skin looked firmer and the tone looked more even (I have some hyperpigmentation across my cheeks and nose from various medication, and that gives me fits). Within six weeks, I started wishing I had taken "before" pictures so I could post "before" and "after" -- the hyperpigmentation has been reduced by about 50%, my pores are smaller, the fine lines that were threatening imminence are gone, even when I'm not wearing the product! I get compliments about my complexion now ("You look GREAT! Your face is so bright and smooth!"). Like I said, I had to change some of my other makeup to better complement the CC cream, but it's been worth it. I bought my first bottle in July and just ran out of it last week -- it doesn't take much; plus there are days I go without makeup now because I'm no longer self-conscious about my skin, so that makes it last longer, too. I've been a loyal Olay user since I was 30 (almost 15 years ago), and I credit regular use of their products and careful, limited sun exposure for my young-looking skin. People mentally group me in with the 25-to-34 age bracket and ask me what my secret is when they find out my real age. This CC cream is a great addition to my skin care regimen AND my makeup bag (I love being able to combine products!).

This is a good product...goes on smoothly, blends well and the 15 percent sunscreen works all day long. One criticism is the shape of the container. It is narrow and has fallen on my sink at least one thousand times. How about a little flare at the bottom. Wins most annoying design ever award.

I first received the cream with the gold label and it was much lighter and orange-ish than the old version I enjoyed. It covered almost nothing - I could just use the Olay 7 cream and get the same result. I returned it and received the new bottle with the black label and it was more like what I was used to. Good, natural looking coverage and not orange.

My mother in law loves this product. I gave it to her for Christmas she let me borrow it. It made my skin so very smooth and absorbed well into my face. It did not irritate my skin and had the perfect amount of spf. Great deal and great product!

Feels smooth and does hydrate my skin. I ordered Fair/Medium but it turned a dark medium on my face. Color not accurate.

Feels very light on skin and blends well with your natural skin tone.

Gives a nice coverage and sufficient moisturizing. Great to use when you only need a light foundation for everyday purposes. I recommend this product.

At first I put it on my face in the morning with tiny doses and nothing happened...so then I put on a lot. Voila, my blemishes seem much better...keep in mind the “toner” aspect is that it works kind of like foundation and cakes over your skin, but my skin colour didn’t match up with it. Not a problem at all for me though since I just put reef-safe sunscreen on the moisturizer after and it restores my natural skin colour. It also locks down the moisture so it works even better. I’ve been using it about half a month, my blemishes are better but not completely gone yet...so I hope I can completely eliminate my blemishes with this. This also has SPF so I feel good putting it on in the morning since I don’t always have time for sunscreen (they are so hard to spread) and it will offer good enough protection in the morning UV.
