Can't go wrong, good value
I installed as a rear view cam on a 2014 nissan frontier pickup truck. The oem radio on this vehicle outputs 6 volts to power camera, this cam works fine on 6 volts. The picture while not hi def, looks very good. The ability to reverse the image horizontally & to use with or without guide lines work as expected. The price is low & the cam is very small, good value, highly recommend.

Install sucks. double work
These were part of a package ..... do not understand WHY I need to hook up a reverse line + for the head unit, then also hook up reverse line + and - for the cam? Shouldn't the head unit be able to provide power for the cam when it is in reverse? WTH what is the purpose for double hook up.

Great Camera, Great Value!
After 8 months of being mounted on the front of a Toyota 4x4, driven off road in dust and rain, it has continued to work perfectly. The camera that I received had a hinged mounting bracket that allows the camera to be aimed where needed. The camera came with very generous cable lengths so that I ended up with quit a bit of extra cable.I am using the Sunnvalleytek 4.3 inch TFT LCD Digital Car Rear View Monitor with 360 swivel stand to view the camera image. As for the complaint of not being a front view camera the instructions are confusing. Turns out that you rotate the image from back to front view on the back of the monitor. The only down side is that you lose the distance lines.I also added a dash mounted switch so I could turn off the camera when it wasn't needed.

Great Product Small Issues.
The camera works great and does exactly what it says in the description ( which is kind of vague). There are a few issues that I do have with it though. First when you go to mount the camera be prepared for a trip to the hardware store for some mounting screws and some wire. The unit does not come with mounting screws or long enough wire for the install. Secondly and probably the most important thing is the video wire is only 13' long. This is great for a small car but on a truck or van you will need a longer cable. This is not a big deal however I picked up a 25' cable at menards for less than 10 bucks. The directions are simple and non complex I have read reviews that they are not very user friendly but there is not much to wiring this unit up. ( I recommend hooking up the red and white together for the distance grid WORKS GREAT). Once you get past these few little hurdles the camera works awesome. Quality picture and gives you a wide view of the back of your vehicle. This is the reason for the 4 stars. I would have given 5 if the wiring was a little longer. The mounting screws are really not an issue because there are so many ways to mount the camera you would have to send a hardware store full of screws to mount it. However I think they should disclose that they are not included.

PYLE PLCM37FRV
Very compact so will fit just about any area. Last one failed in cold weather. Ordered this again 5-29-18, and this one failed in late December, 2018. Obviously there is a premature failure mechanism probably related to low temperatures.I suggest anyone considering this model to consider a more expensive camera, or at a minimum purchasing warranty protection extending to 12 months.

Perfect Forward Mount Camera
If you are trying to mount a forward facing camera on the front if your truck, or car. This IS the camera you are looking for!! Parking Assist, or guide lines- Optional. Reverse image- Optional. The picture is superb.Admittedly, when I first connected it to my television to tinker with it; the image was wavy and downright lousy. I was using a Radio Shack 3.5A 12V power supply for say a cb radio, or the like. I knew the lines was attributed to some sort of feedback from either the power supply, or the television- so I was not that concerned with it.Once I installed it on my truck it worked absolutely great!! I am really happy with it. The other conventional license plate mount camera had a good image, but the image was reversed, and I also was not able to adjust it down enough to be able to see the leading edge if my front bumper. You need that to use as a reference. The camera does not appear to be the most rugged thing around, so I put a blob of rtv silicone around where the wire goes into the housing- just to be on the safe side.. I think it will be fine. It is very small and low profile. You can barely notice it. Check out the pics....All in all, I'm pretty happy with it. I wanted a camera that I could easily get rid of the guide lines, and the reversed image; and this fit the bill to a tee!! To achieve this- you just leave the three wires(red, white, blue) disconnected from one another.(see stock pics)..

Was written as all parts included.... ...
Was written as all parts included.... Not so much....Was missing the 12vdc adapter and the nut for the set screw that adjust the angle.I ended up using epoxy and hardwiting the female pigtail. If I didn't know how to do car audio work....it would have been returned
