I recently acquired a 22" Mola Demi Beauty dish, and there was no way my strobe mounts were going to support this thing without gravity taking over and making the Beauty Dish droop toward the floor. So I thought "There must be a piece of hardware that would allow heavy light modifiers to hang below the boom attachment, so as not to be in a strained position". Enter this marvelous piece of hardware. I can now attach the beauty dish, or any other heavy light modifier and have it stay there "solid as a rock!". I have Avenger C-Stands and love them, but I'm increasingly becoming more and more impressed with Kupo and the little details they are coming up with. I had also ordered an Avenger "Drop Down Pin" from Amazon that also performs in almost the same manner, but the Avenger does not have the free moving "ball joint" that allows for infinite positioning!.

If you've ever had trouble securing a light and modifier to a boom on a C stand, this hunk of metal will solve your issue. I have worked with C stands for years, but this product is so versatile and reliable that it gives me unprecedented ease of use and peace of mind on every shoot. I would consider it an essential piece of kit for every serious photographer.

Excellent build quality, simple to use, very flexible. Not inexpensive but cheaper than a similar popular item.

I used this as an angling knuckle for a light on top of a light stand, to point the light downward. Worked great, and it's built like a tank.

Resistente

Using some 500 watt led floods for movie lighting that don't have enough control of the yoke. Solve the problem...

They've worked well thus far, so I'm good. I think I have 4 for now, but will get more, when I'm able to get a couple more Kupo 40" Master C-Stands with Turtle Base. I also use them on regular light stands.
