I was pleased with the quality of the build and the padding ...
Ok. I've read the reviews and ordered 2 of these after reading them for my Canon 7D and 5D Mark III. I was pleased with the quality of the build and the padding around the neck strap. It feels nice and is strong enough to support my heaviest gear being the 5D Mark III with a 70-200 2.8 IS lens attached. I first tried to install one on my 7D and had difficulty getting the first strap through on the left side of the camera but eventually succeeded. Then I tried the more difficult right side and was having a bit more difficulty...that is until the light came on in my head and I decided to grab a pair of needle nose pliers. With that said I pinched the end loop sides together and then crimped down on the tip to flatten it out. It slid through the camera with ease. Needless to say installing this item on my 5D went very quickly and smoothly. It is very comfortable but as some has pointed out is not long enough to carry your camera off your shoulder but around the neck it is long enough for this 6'2" male to hang down around the bottom of my stomach. This item is a significant upgrade to the basic strap provided with the camera and does indeed help reduce you as a target for camera thieves when traveling.

Fantastic Comfortable Strap!
This is a great strap! The neoprene is super comfortable - I already had a neoprene strap, but didn't trust threading the loose loop ends into the camera strap brackets (there are several ways of doing this, none of them foolproof). This Op/TECH strap has a fixed loop that when you thread it in, you can trust isn't going to slip out over time. This eliminates the step of me checking to make sure the strap is secure when I'm out somewhere that my DSLR can hit the ground, rocks, or water, and be damaged. The bonus also, is that you can unclip the strap ends when it's on a tripod, and click the remaining strap together, to eliminate camera shake caused by the wind kiting the strap. I'm 6 foot, and the strap is long enough to be comfortable, however, if you do a lot of slinging it over your shoulder, you might want to look into the longer strap extenders, as it barely fits over my shoulder in a sling manner. If you are smaller, or really skinny it should be fine. Overall, a great addition to your camera gear, and is well worth the price.

Great strap
Very comfortable strap, kinda short though. I'm 6' tall and like to carry my camera looped over my right shoulder and around my neck so it can't be yanked off my shoulder and stolen by a thief. Unfortunately, this strap is to short to do this comfortably. I have ordered the Op/Tech System Connector #9 Uni Adapter Loop, 10.5" - 13.5" (26,7 CM - 34,3 CM) each side. This should solve my problem, but I will have 4 quick connectors instead of 2. The connectors seem very sturdy (and small) and are not easily un-clipped like the huge connectors are on my transporter strap by lowepro. I really like the pro loop connecting system on this strap, the lowepro strap was always in the way, and sticking straight up, this strap just falls out of the way just like they claim, it's great. I highly recommend this strap (with reservations because of the length).

Well Made, Comfortable Strap!
This is a wonderful camera strap! I have love using it and do not regret my purchase! I have been using this camera strap on my Canon Rebel t4i for about 2 years now. Well, I should clarify, I've used the wrist strap for that long. I'm not one to use the neck strap on a camera because I find it more distracting than helpful. I like to take lost of different angled shots, so I would usually have to take a neck strap off of my neck to achieve the desired angles. That's where this Op/Tech strap comes in. I chose it specifically for the wrist strap conversion and to have the nice neoprene neck option for times when I'm caring my camera all day. It is also a bonus that it does not scream 'nice expensive camera here,' like a OEM Canon or Nikon strap, while I'm doing travel and street photography. I have never once worried about the quality of the strap or the clips. It has been strong and reliable from day one. I think it could handle the bigger more professional cameras just fine. If you have a smaller bodied camera, this strap might be over kill. Overall, the strap has held up very well in the past 2 years. There is not much wear on it even with all the car and airplane travel I have done with it. Highly recommended!

A great replacement strap
I purchased this strap as a replacement for the included Canon strap. The Canon strap has little padding and can quickly become painful when I'm using my 6d + 70-200 + ST-E3 flash transmitter/600ex speedlite. I was previously using a Black Rapid sling strap to carry my camera which does work well. I recently purchased an Arca-Swiss Z1 ballhead and a Really Right Stuff L-Plate. The L-Plate occupies the bottom camera tripod mounting screw preventing me from using the Black Rapid strap. The OP/TECH Super Classic Strap is very nicely padded and has a grippy surface to prevent slipping. This is really important if you are carrying a lot of heavy camera gear so the strap doesn't cut into your neck and shoulders. I purchased the Pro Loop variation which has a couple options such as extenders or a hand grip. This strap has become my go-to strap for when I'm working with a tripod or carrying a heavy camera setup.

Excellent products, but baffling array of choices needs to be simplified
Op/Tech's neoprene straps are amazing from a comfort and convenience perspective, which is why I'm giving this five stars. The sheer number of choices and options are baffling, however. The company needs to do a much better job educating customers on its products in a straighforward, easy-to-follow way. I called their customer service line twice to get information on what products to buy, and even after a half-hour conversation with the owner's wife (it's a family business) came away thoroughly confused. Frankly, I'm inclined to think they offer too man products: really, what's the difference between a "classic," "super classic," and ordinary neoprene strap? And once you select a strap, what's the difference between "uni-loops" and "pro-loops"? The key to understanding the array of products is this: the products are modular. I love modular design, so this is a plus in my book -- but I didn't understand that they were modular until late in the process. In effect, if you want to maximize your options for configuring the straps the way you want, you'll probably want to order a neoprene strap with pro loops. That way you can change, for example, form a conventional neck strap to a sling.

exactly what i was looking for.
i was looking for a strap to replace the crappy nikon one that came with my d90. i looked at a bunch of them on amazon, and finally just decided to try one. this is the one i tried. one important thing i wanted was to be able to take the strap off 100% when i wanted. i keep a hand strap on my camera all the time, but occasionally want a neckstrap. this is exactly what i wanted. i can take the neckstrap off completely in about 2 minutes. and i can leave the handstrap on when the neckstrap is on. plus its long enough to wear it across my chest with the camera hanging on my side, and the padding on it doesnt chaff my neck up. well worth the $$$ spent.

Clips should be at the other end of the strap.
I wanted a strap I could remove easily for mounting the camera to a tripod. Having a strap on the camera while the camera is on a tripod is annoying because the strap hangs everywhere you don't want it. It is also likely to lasso any passersby and send your camera and tripod tumbling to the ground. This strap has clips to remove it, but the part that remains on the camera is still way too much strap. OpTech sells a lot of strap products. I see that I can purchase individual loops, extension straps, etc. and build what I want out of spare parts, but I could make my own strap for much less money. This doesn't do what I bought it for, and doesn't do well what it claims to do. If you want your camera on a tripod without a lasso or floppy dog-ears, keep shopping. If you want a big, comfortable, plain-black camera strap, this does the job at a reasonable price.

Great Straps for Cameras - or in this case Binoculars
I already have another Op/Tech strap, the Super Classic Uni-Loop, which I use on a pro DSLR. On the other DSLR's I use Op/Tech wrist straps, which link in with the same clips as the Uni-Loops. So, when I needed a strap for a new pair of binoculars, the choice was fairly simple. This time I went for the Pro-Loop strap. Mainly because the Uni-Loop version isn't easily available in the UK. I spoke to customer services at Op/Tech and apparently, it's a USA only item, the Uni-Loop. So I just happened to get lucky when I bought them, that someone in the UK was selling them. I think it can be ordered in if requested by a couple of distributors if needs be. The Pro Loop is different to the Uni-Loop, because the two ends that stay on the camera are about 9 inches long. On the Uni-Loop the ends are approx. 2 inches long (or less). On a camera, if I remove the strap, then the Uni-Loop is great, because there's hardly anything left to dangle around and get in the way. I decided that for the Binoculars, this didn't matter so much. Plus, there's a trick that you can do with the Pro-Loops, where you remove the strap, but connect the two tails together. This creates a mini strap. Which is how I intend to leave them for most of the time. Because, normally the binoculars are just lying around the house, for looking at birds and deer outside the window, so they are not travelling anywhere. Therefore the big strap is unnecessary. However, it's easily clipped into place if needs be, for going out walking. One point to note if mixing the two systems, is that the actual padded strap part on the Pro-Loop strap, is much shorter than on the Uni-Loop version. You can buy a set of Op/Tech Uni-Loop extension straps to compensate for this. These contain a pair of Uni-Loop connectors, and two 8 inch connector straps, which all connect using the same clip in connectors for speedy connection. All in all a superb system of straps. Very comfortable to wear. They feel very strong, the neoprene padded shoulder pad is nicely padded without being too fancy. It's non-slip is perfect. I'd highly recommend them as a strap for a DSLR or a pair of binoculars.

Molto consigliata.
