DC Power Jack Cable Replacement for Dell XPS 15 9570 9560 P56F DC30100X300

Worked great to replace a faulty laptop jack where my laptop stopped charging when connection wasn’t working. Sturdy good designed product for replacement.

My wife's Dell XPS15 9560 stopped charging from the normal charging port a few months ago. We could still charge it using the USB-C port and a docking station, but that was kind of unwieldy lugging the big docking station around when we traveled. I had had a similar problem years ago with an XPS13, and changing the power port didn't help with that computer. But for less than $10 I figured I could give it a try on this one. I installed this power jack in about 15 minutes after watching a couple of YouTube videos, and when I plugged in the power supply, voila, the battery started charging again! I guess sometimes charging problems are simple, and sometimes they aren't. This part did its job for me. It got my wife's XPS15 back on its feet, and got my wife off of my back. Thumb's up. Oh, it looked just like the part that I removed from the laptop, and the charger pin fit nice and snug in the new port...not too tight, not too loose.

Too cheep to buy a new computer? Too old school to want to change to some new fangled computer that just isn’t right even though it has the same operating system and functions 1000 times better and has all the latest security patches? Well good news you are in luck for less than $10 you can beat that dead horse of a computer back to life for a few more months, years, maybe even decades. Ok so my wife’s computer is a bit old and she hates new electronics even though she is not old enough to be anti new tech so I beat her dead horse of a computer back to life with this connector. But being such an old outdated typing machine the white connector that goes to the motherboard was the wrong size for my PC but the charger port fit perfectly, I ordered one directly from Dell as well and had the same problem. I am not one to be thwarted easily so I Frankenstein-ed my old white motherboard connector onto this new charger port with my soldering iron and like magic my wife’s computer is charging and I am the hero. I have slayed the figurative dragon and rescued my damsel in distress once again from entering the modern.

was super easy to install and allowed laptop to work without even having battery installed. I purchased a cheap battery online which I thought did not work so I purchased an oem battery from Dell which was almost $100 only to find out a $6.00 part solved the issue. Couldn't be more happier this company is a winner. Great Job!

At 1/4 of the price for the genuine Dell part it was worth a shot but expectations were low. I was suitably impressed when everything went together just fine. My Dell XPX 9560's DC charging port broke and would no longer charge the battery (the center piece in the jack broke off) so this $8 part got me back up and running. Easy to install (plenty of "How to" videos on YouTube) if you have some basic tools (a T5 torx and a small Philips head screwdriver) and about 30 minutes. Highly recommended. Bought a couple more to have for spares.

Didn't solve my problem (which means it's the charger), but this was a great replacement for the original, wasn't terribly difficult to install, and is a fraction of the price of the charger (so if it would have solved my problem, it would've been golden!). It is a wee longer than the original, so I had to S-bend it a little more, but there's plenty of room in that area. Actually, I suspect the problem is that the center pin of the charger plug might have broken off in the original charge port, so it still might be a good thing that I replaced this cable/port.

Easy to install, cheap, but only charged my computer for a day before it stopped working.

Wrong Part. This replacement cable does not fit the Dell Precision 5510. The Jack is ok but the connector at the other is smaller than the mating connector in the computer. Another difference is that the cable shown in the picture does have the EMI ferrite close to the jack, as the one in the Dell computer, but the cable received does not have it.

Not too sure what’s wrong. I looked up the part number, made sure that it was compatible with my laptop but the cable I received doesn’t look like the original one and has a different port shape
