New team members, new direction, new creative team! After the Suicide Squad is nearly massacred, the team returns to Belle Reve to lick their wounds and bury their dead--but when they find out what's waiting for them at the prison, they'll wish they were back out in the field! Task Force X has a new leader, who will make this team of killers and thieves even deadlier than ever before. From rising writer Ales Kot comes SUICIDE SQUAD VOL. 4: DISCIPLINE AND PUNISH, collecting issues #20-23 as well as the DEADSHOT and HARLEY QUINN Villains Month one-shots. Review: but still animated and easy to read - My boys are into comic books and these are the hottest thing right now. A little thicker than a typical comic book, but still animated and easy to read. Same characters as in the movie, great story lines and fun for the kids. Review: new - new and fast

Nice read after another DC overhaul.
The suicide is one of the few comics that has stayed consistent after yet another re-vamp from the DC universe. Deadshot is still Deadshot and his character is comfortably the same. Amanda Waller is still the devil you know and the rest of the character work to a greater or lesser degree. One of the better comics out there.

Love the choice of villians and the action!
Due to the new movie that is out (which I liked), the Suicide Squad past volumes are becoming very popular. This is one of the better runs and I am catching up on them all. Almost non-stop action. Becoming more of a Mission Impossible type scenarios then the Dirty Dozen. Either way I enjoyed the stories and the art. Suicide Squad is becoming one of my favorite titles to read. They can do almost anything they want. Make the missions truly a Suicide attempt, change the cast and so on. But I do suspect that Harley will be featured in almost every iteration of the Suicide Squad for quite a while. I think DC is giving her the Wolverine treatment (where Wolverine was featured in all the X-Men books center stage and then guest stared in almost every other Marvel title).

Addictive...
All 5 volumes were great-great stories, kept me reading, and went through all 5 way too quick.

So good
Suicide Squad is such a great series. This collection allows the squad to go free but shortly after Waller is attacked and is in need of her old team...

Deadshot Rocks
Really loved it. The more I read suicide squad, the more I like Deadshot. Harley is always great and King shark is awsome. Loved the story and the art. A1

consistently excellent
This has to been one of the best and most consistent of the New 52 books. Playing off the back of Sinister Six ( probably the most consistent book pre New 52) the characters are developing nicely and the storylines are just outrageously anarchic. Ales Kot has grasped the raison d'etre of the series and has produced some of the best individual issues the series has seen. The interaction between the characters is very well handled. Unlike the previous reviewer I found the second half of the book a distraction from the tone set and hope that volume 5 goes back to looking at the Squad as a team- where the individual characters interact- which is where the spirit of the series flows from.

Hot action, no morals
If you delight in senseless violence Joker style with cynical remarks thrown in, this one is for you. Keep out of reach of children!
