Id like to use the unit without the hooks - please can someone tell me if the holes are predrilled or if hooks can be optional

The hooks are pre drilled and fitted to the unit.

What are the exact dimensions of the baskets please?

Mine measure: width 298mm x depth 170mm x height 170mm.

Could this unit fit a space of 94.5cm with a trim off the top shelf?

I don't think so, sorry - even if I were to trim off the overhang of the top section at both ends, the main 'drawer' unit on mine still measures 97.5cm.
