20X-40X Dual LED 3D Stereo Microscope with Multi-Power (Batteries and AC Adapter) and All Metal Frame + Premium Quality Optics

I have not owned this microscope for very long so I can't comment on it's durability over time and travel. However, for this price it has some great features and that is why I rate it 5-stars (compared to similarly priced models I've used). Most importantly, I like the fact the the mirrors are compensated for so that when you move the object that you are looking at to the right, the image you see moves to right. Down is down, up is up, etc. Many cheaper scopes do not compensate for this so you need to perform any manipulations such as dissecting the opposite from what you are looking at through the eyepiece. The scope has two choices for illumination; from above for solid objects and from below for transparent (pond water samples, etc.). There are two removable stages giving you three choices for background color underneath your sample (white, black and frosted for illumination from underneath the stage/sample). It also has one adjustable focus eyepiece. The construction seems very sturdy and well made. The stage is flat (the holding clips can be swiveled out of the way) so it can accommodate larger objects (like big petri dishes). I have only used the AC adapter so I don't know how long the batteries last. After about two months of work I am extremely pleased with it's performance and features.

i have been very happy with this scope for several years now, good clarity, well built. use it for everything from electronics to getting out slivers (must have!). You will be surprised how often you use this once you have it! The 20-40-80x model looks to be the same as this one just with an extra set of 20x eyepieces. I just ordered a set of WF15x 30.5mm diameter eyepieces to give this one a range of 20-30-40-60x

This scope is great for dissection and identification. The image is clear. The light sources are LED so it used very little power. And it comes with rechargeable batteries. I've never actually plugged mine in. This is also very handy if you want to take it somewhere that may not have an outlet. It's solid, well built, all metal construction. It will undoubtedly outlive me. I highly recommend this microscope for those who need it's capabilities.
