Hotec Wireless System with Dual Headset Microphones/Lavalier Lapel Mics and Bodypack Transmitters and One Mini Rechargeable Receiver 1/4" Output, for Live Performances

I got these to use for videos where I am doing wood working and also review videos so I didnt have to worry about my mic picking me up as I moved around. They're good for the price, a pair of wireless mic's isnt cheap to come by. These are going to be lower end but theyre priced at a lower end rate, so you are getting what you pay for. If you are just doing audio where you are talking, theyre a good buy because the quality for your voice is totally fine. If you were doing music or something where sound quality had a higher need, this wouldnt be the right product (but I would hope those people know that). It has an adapter that allows it to plug into a standard mic jack, allowing you to plug it straight into a camcorder. My main complaint is the head set mics, the headset isnt adjustable and doesnt fit my head well (which is average sized) and it pulls out your hair ( have long hair). The actual lapel mics are great though, small and pretty discreet. 1. its a good entry level voice audio mic. 2. It includes two headsets and two lapels, so good for a variety of settings 3. battery life is good 4. The lapel mic cords are plenty long enough to run up through your clothes from your back to your neck without it being short or visible. cons: 1. the headset mics are constructed cheaply 2. the directions leave something to be desired, you might have to read them a few times to learn the controls 3. the controls are not at all intuitive. For the price, its a good buy. update:: somehow my video didn't post originally, I have attached it explaining its use and letting you see its major components. After using it for a bit now, I like the lapel mics but the headset mics are def uncomfy to wear. I've had no issues with the wireless working and the battery life continues to perform well.

Excellent recording mic that is great for recording lectures and PowerPoint presentations. Would highly recommend. Would charge both the mics and receiver before every recorded lecture to make sure you get full charge before starting. One issue that I have encountered is that the first 10-20 minutes of an hour lecture would get recorded and the rest would be a sound free recording ie nothing gets recorded for the rest of the lecture. I contacted the company and they were great in replying quickly to my email and mentioned that the mic automatically goes to battery saving mode when it does not detect good sound quality and thus the solution to this is to hold the mic as close as possible to the mouth and to increase the mic volume to the max which is u20 in my device. Once I started doing that the issue was solved and all the lectures were fully recorded. The sound quality of the recordings was great with excellent noise cancellation. The mic comes with a headset and a regular lavalier mic which both can be used. I would highly recommend this product. It is not too expensive but yields excellent results. Well worth the money. This where this unit really shines. There were very few drops up to 100m (about 330ft), even though its advertised line-of-sight rating is only 30m or about 100ft. I have used much more expensive mics that could not do this! Therefore, I give this a 10/10. This is the first time that I have given any wireless mic a rating of 10! • Rechargeable batteries with a short charge time (about 30 minutes); • Size and weight; Cons: • Lack of proper shielding leading to a lot of line noise; • Poor sound quality from the headset mic and mediocre sound quality from the lapel mics; • Monaural recording only. I would really like to get the company to improve the quality of the supplied mics and the shielding of both the mics and the transmitters. All in all, when used with the lapel mics I think the quality of sound reproduction is adequate, especially for the price. The headset mics are a bit of a disappointment. If you are interested in this product, my suggestion would be to buy two real Lavalier mics and hook them up to this. Right now the H-U25 is available for $70. You can get good quality Lavalier mics for $20 per pair. So, for $90 you could have a really good, reliable system, IMO. My suggestion to the company would be: Ditch the headset mics. I don't know a serious streamer who would use them. Improve the shielding and supply better quality Lav mics. Full disclosure. Many companies ask me for in-depth reviews. I am so impressed by these inexpensive microphones! I use a lot of very expensive Shure systems but some applications cannot support the price of that infrastructure and the battery operated RECEIVERS allow a great deal of flexibility in a battery operated system like the JBL EON Compact. And their Customer Service is tremendously responsive not only if you have a problem (one brand new receiver wouldn’t hold a charge and they had a replacement in my mail in 48hours) but also if you have questions like I did, noticing they sell two handhelds and two headset systems but not a mix... they responded immediately with instructions to re-pair the mics so that now I have two mixed systems. A quick note, the two mic systems ship with a receiver that can handle two mics, ChA ChB. Since two mics come into one receiver therefore controlled by ONE volume channel, if you are using two mics at one time, you would set the volume for the person on the handheld FIRST, then use the volume control on the headset unit to the proper volume. But usually the reason for having a dual system (one handheld, one headset) is to have the flexibility of using EITHER the handheld or headset so you’re usually not using two mics at one time. However it is possible to spread the frequencies of all four microphones out so that you CAN have both receivers plugged in and use all four mics at one time. Now let me be clear... if I’m trying to go 100’ from transmitter and receiver I will use my expensive Shure systems, but for closer work (which is prob 80% of what you will be doing) then these work extremely well. So for under $175 you can have two sets of handheld/headset systems that can even all work at the same time... as I said you can’t beat these for the price/performance :-)

I don't understand how these got so many positive reviews for clear sound. Mine sound terrible! There is so much hiss and interference from either one or two mics, even when on separate channels. I have tried different locations, speakers, and headphones, but I can't get them to sound good. One mic/pack sounds like a bad radio reception, with a ton of hiss, and you have to hold the mic about an inch away from your mouth to get it to pick up. There's no way you could just wear the headset or clip the lavalier to your clothes. You have to hold it up to your face with your hand to get it to pick up sound. Two mic/transmitters going at once is twice as much hiss, plus a bunch of interference noise. Maybe you could use these for a casual, live performance over a PA system, if your audience was not picky about the sound quality at all, but I would not use these for any type of audio recording unless you want to annoy your listeners/viewers with poor audio quality and your editors with a nightmare of trying to remove all the hiss, noise, and interference. Which they won't be able to do. It will all just sound like crap. I really liked the idea of this set. The set came complete with everything you would theoretically need. I like rechargeable gadgets. Don't have to buy separate batteries. You could use the box and custom-cut padding as a case for a while. Everything was plug-and-play. Charged up, plugged in, and connected very easily. It seemed like such a great deal, but that's only if it worked and it doesn't work. In the sense that the sound quality is painfully bad and hard to listen to. I could never publish anything recorded with these mics, because the results are unlistenable. Did I receive a faulty set?

The lapel microphone does not pick up your voice very well.

We are ENG vloggers using iPhone8 and Galaxy S8. This rig solves several problems for us. The receiver, unlike others, is small enough to attach to the phone cradle. Also the transmitters use LED freq and battery life display. That's huge. The sound is very good at distances up to 40/50 feet. I also like the box contains a phone shoe mount and necessary usb to micro usb cables. The only thing that is a pain is the receiver doesn't have a battery life indicator. You're never sure where you are with the battery, unlike the transmitters that contain visual led battery indicators. Great product and value.

Our 400 dollar Sony wireless mic system got wet and we needed an immediate solution for wireless audio.. and I was skeptical of these at first, but I'm keeping these, I absolutely couldn't believe how well they actually worked! impressed with the performance of these wireless mics to say the least.. We film a lot on the boat (fishing trips) and are active youtubers.. Aside from some slight high pitch humming on certain channels (channels can be changed on the holster units) you simply cannot go wrong with these.. Also worth mentioning, the battery times are excellent! Easy 5 stars from me.

Sound pick up when teaching a live class is extremely poor - both with clip microphone and headphone. Battery dies very quickly, so you can forget about wanting to use for a couple of hours straight even after fully charging the devices. Invested in purchasing large speakers to project the sound but waste of time as sound pickup is so poor via the microphones, it was highly ineffective.
