Great service, package arrived early. Just started reading this book and enjoying it thus far.

I found this book in an obscure library in 1980, five years after its publication in the US. I actually played the Game (it has its own gameboard included) and was astounded by the game's results at that time. I have looked for it ever since, as it had been a library book. Now at last I have found it for purchase. This Game is the origin of the children;s games of Snakes and Arrows, or Ladders, or Chutes and Ladders....It was amazingly accurate in how it played out...almost scary. But I will play it again after all these years. It is that fascinating. Play with seriousness and a lack of fear, even if it proves to be accurate. There is a Reason why this Game has fascinated so many over so many hundreds of years. It is fascinating and worth the little money spent for what is given in this book.

I ordered this book thinking it comes with board and dice. 🎲 dice and stones are not included so you need to purchase it separately. So basically that a book with rules of the game.

The fact that Chutes and Ladders comes from this game is a hoot. I've enjoyed using it like the I Ching and discovering patterns in my spirit path. You don't have to be way into HIndu terminology to use the book and gain some insights...but it helps. Yoga folks might find this an interesting game to play with friends.

This is so useful and fascinating! I recommend watching Peter Marchand's YouTube video about Leela - The Game of Self Knowledge. He plays the game with a group of students, explaining it very thoroughly. This is an excellent tool for self-knowledge that can be used on a daily basis.

I own the board game and got this as a gift for a friend. I was originally looking for the board game, but seeing as that is out of print, this was the next best option. It does come with a fold up board game, but it isn't quite the same. But what it did do was inspire I and my friend to make our own boards. It is all a part of the soul growth that comes from experiencing this game. Be prepared for your life to change....

This is a great learning tool for learning how to live life according to Purusharthas - Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. The game can be played to learn which negative aspects of your behavior brings you down to lower chakra levels and which ones take you higher. The game has plenty of learning taking you from infant stage to various stages of development in life to cosmic consciousness. There are various elements of Tattava gyaan, Numerology, Chakras, Divine beings and cycles of manifestation interwoven into the game. This game board can also be used as a Divination tool to chart a person present life journey, past life journey and make mundane worldly predictions for decision making. Overall its a must buy and once can learn to incorporate it into various other healing practices and divination techniques (eg. Tarot)

This game is best for adults and children..... It even changed me. The arrow position tells us what all good qualities we should keep. The snakes tells us the importance of keeping away from violence, bad company, envy, ignorance etc. This is really an amazing one!
