EGBD were as the E is the 4th, ( the thickest string ). I play bass ukulele twice a week now once at Chapel house com. centre and Fridays at Seaton Sluice com. centre **Q: what colour are these strings?** A: They're white :) **Q: what does extruded mean?** A: This means the material used to make the string is forced through a die for the desired shape **Q: Are they suitable for a banjolele?** A: You can use any strings you like with uke or banjo-Uke provided they’re long enough. Most banjolele’s are usually concert sized but you’d have to assess that yourself depending on your banjolele. Tenor strings are are more than long enough. As for the sound your after if it’s the old fashioned brash sound a la George Formby or music hall songs then these strings might be too mellow for your taste. I go for Galli black nylon on my banjoleles and Dadario Titanium on my wooded guitar shaped ukes. But it’s all subjective so try them and see. They are very good quality but rather heavy gauge and make the uke slightly harder to play. The sound is bright and sparkly.
