It also had that nice smell of leather, but the mustiness odor overwhelmed the nice leather smell. I used saddle soap, leather conditioner (used on horse bridles), Pinesol, baking soda in a plastic bag. Nothing worked until I soaked it in linseed oil ( which is used to condition leather).It is a nice product, but storage in the warehouse should be addressed so the leashes do not acquire that awful musty odor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for my pups! *by A***R on April 8, 2022* Love the look and feel of this leash. My two pups, a 6 lb maltese and 4 lb yorkie, walk comfortably on this leash with it attached to their harnesses. I was concerned that the leash may be too heavy, however, holding the loop in my left and where it splits in my right hand, there is no heaviness for them to deal with. The two leads that are attached are just the right size for my small dogs and the length works well for them to walk comfortably side by side or one behind the other.
