I've only used it once so far so can't speak to the longevity, but they work great for gripping small objects with good control. The latch is fabulous: You squeeze it closed until it clicks and then it stays put with a nice grip. If you squeeze it just a bit more, the latch goes full circle around itself and releases when you open. So, something like a ballpoint pen clicker except that technically you don't have to release in between (if you close it far enough in one go, it will click twice and release when you open). If you're used to the scissor latch and try to unlatch these the same way, it's quite a struggle (it can be done, but you're fighting against the mechanism), but used correctly they're considerably easier and more controlled than a scissor grip latch because all of the forces are consistently aligned (no cross torque).

This grips small plastic parts for modeling ships very well. It makes positioning them in an assembly much less challenging. The grooves on the grip help with your hand control.

Not the highest quality but I think they will work for veterinary purposes. One of them came damaged. Variable quality

awful quality. closing/opening mechanism catches and will not open or close when squeezed, takes too much force to click open or closed.

I return 1 of these. They are very stiff, when you get it to lock, you can’t get it to unlock. Not a good thing when you’re in the middle of a procedure.
